NIKE METCON THREAD - 7s out now

But the thing about the shoe is its not pidgin holed by "crossfit". I don't crossfit. Never have WODed haven't Kipped a day in my life. I work out, regularly. I box jump, i run 2-3 miles, i deadlift, i squat, i hang clean...this shoe fits everything i need from a "workout" shoe.

I wish they knew that avid gym goers also want this shoe. So the "crossfit" market isn't the only target market for this shoe

^This is a great point. I crossfit and LOVE it. Lots of ppl enjoy it but that doesnt mean its right for everyone. If Nike turns this around and realizes what they have they can make BIG money in the fitness market (notice I said fitness and not crossfit). These shoes are BOMB I love them. They can be used be the casual gym goer, the "Bro" (yea they exist), the power lifter, crossfitter, musclebuilder, basically anyone who wants to lift and have functional, stable, durable shoes.

Nike may have been skeptical but I think that the reviews speak for themselves. Reebok has just been beaten at their own game!

Also agree. Nike should market these as technical cross training shoes, and not crossfit shoes. I don't crossfit but am looking for new stable shoes for circuit training.

So I just got done chatting with a Nike Rep and asked why it's taking forever to restock these. Her answer was that they ran out of materials

So why do I hate the Nike Metcon 1?

I now have no use for the 11 pairs of assorted Reebok Nanos in my closet.

They definitely realize that, and if you pay attention to their marketing, are "selling" it that way. They don't want this to only be a CF shoe/line. Recently they have had pictures of pro baseball guys and a pro boxer training. They are marketing to those "pursuing their athleticism".

Side note, I was messaged last night and I think you'll see some shoes show up soon. I think those sick grey/gum soles are on the horizon.

I guess this is all a big start of NIke's new Nike Training marketing campaign? New apparel, new shoes, new look?

I live in Springfield, MO so I don't get to see many of the new ads or products until later since it is such a small market down here.

Can I just say that the day they release these shoes to Nike ID i will make a pair soooo fast. This needs to be customizable....like now

The orange colorway available isn't that great. And the smaller sizes are gone already.

Was able to get myself a pair. Good job with Nike setting a limit. If only they did that for the volt pair, I'd have them in my possession.

Gah. Need to find a 10 Volt. Not ready to WOD in my 10.5 till I check out a smaller size. The heel slip is brutal.
