NIKE METCON THREAD - 7s out now

Off topic, did anyone catch Shark Tank on Sunday night? Looks like that PRx company is gonna go after Rogue for the folding rig in court.
 
Fellas.. As I anxiously await my Metcon 2 ID's I wanted to reflect and pay homage to my "gamer" Metcon 1's.. I've bought and sold quite a few 1's to realize that these aren't going anywhere.. The 2's will come.. But these 1's won't go.. Anyone else have a pair or two that aren't going anywhere?

Those two pairs on the right (greys and lava's) are two of my favorites.  I've justified purchasing so many pairs of 1's for the sake of longevity of each pair.  lol. I hope to wear them for another year!

When those Wolf Greys came out I had to grow on the gum bottom sole and now I love them.. Never thought I'd ever wear a red shoe either.. But there's Something about the OG's that you just have to appreciate. Regardless of the mesh...

Only pair I ever regret selling was my OG wolf greys.  I still got the Blue Lagoons and just wore my OG Volts yesterday.  Love the classics.

If the next wave of colors of the 2s aren't appealing I'm going to ID the 2s in the og volt colorway :lol:

Fresh got a promotion awhile back and switched departments so he checks back in from time to time but not as frequent.

If you look in the background, there's a 25 and 35lb plate idk but the first one he could have been swimming repeats? 11.3 would be 165lbs in you combine the 25 and 35 on a 45lb bar or it would be the weight for 15.1 who knows at this point

My wife got me a pair of IDs for Valentine's day. The OG Volts have been my favorite so I decided to do a pair of those with some slight tweaks. FYI, I wrote LOVE/H8TE (Nike wouldn't allow Hate) on the heels as that is a great summary of my relationship with Crossfit.

I feel like Castro is just trolling the whole community with the cryptic posts. He did the same thing last year. Posted a picture of a gun (which he does regularly) and everyone was positive there would pistols that week. Guess what? No pistols.

But in that picture there also was a jump rope and 15.3 had doubles... He's just a little insane
 
thinking about getting a pair of metcons but not sure if i should get the 1s or 2s. im a powerlifter and will be using them primarily for deads and occassionally squats. only considering the 1s cause of the colorways available and the cheaper price but i dont mind paying extra for 2s if the stability and all that is worth the cost
 
not worth the extra cost. stability is same. 

and just a question  but for deads wouldnt you want a flat sole shoe? this has a slight heel drop so it's better for squats than deads (but i still use it for squats,deads, and benching regardless.. )

The stability and fit are worth the extra cost to me. They're slightly more refined and the price difference is justified.
