He's definietely not saying that just to say it. Don't even know how that would benefit his career.

I definitely see some of his point of views. The rant about the machine using you has some truth behind it though that could be said for any big celebrity in the spotlight (ie: sports, music, etc). The "machine" will ALWAYS take full advantage of you if possible.

I don't agree with him saying there's no soul in his work. A lot of Eminem's music comes from an extremely dark place, and some of his best work is usually his most personal.

Also, that comment he said about don't use the music to promote something that's not customary is completely stupid. If that's the case, we'd always be talking about the same ****. You can't expect everyone to always be on the same subject; people experience different **** on the daily.
 
I feel him on appreciating Em's technical proficiency but not digging what he is saying.

He has valid points, but then he says he was messing with Em's first album. Umm, Em has always talked that crazy **** that Jamar said he wasn't feeling. So which is it?

I have no issue with people not really messing with a certain type of music or artist. But just because YOU don't like it for whatever reason doesn't mean that those reasons are 100% truth or fact. That's why this dude will forever be a clown to me--buddy speaks like some all-knowing authority on all things hip-hop. I can't stand these old gatekeeper type dudes.
 
It's funny, a few weeks or so ago I sat back and thought about this.

Was Em ever really nice? Or the epitome of different? Right place, right time and has been on the forefront of hip-hop ever since.

But it is Jamar so of course it comes with alot of generalizations. But if someone could explain to me how he makes a top 10 without citing record sales I'd love to hear it.

in another interview he was naming white rappers that he messes with and eminem was on his list, so he pretty much contradicted himself

Top 10 in hip-hop? Easy. He can rap circles around pretty much anyone. I mean, that IS part of what hip-hop and rapping is about, right? Not saying you have to like what he's rapping about, but the guy can spit pretty damn good.

Btw, there are a lot of dudes who have been on the forefront of hip-hop at different times that were there because of the right place/right time thing. Hell, that's how the industry works because it isn't like people decide to start rapping one day and are signed the next. Most artists catch a break after grinding hard at their craft. Em has just been able to parlay that **** into a career that now means he can put out ****** albums and they still sell. But to ask if he was ever nice is kinda ridiculous, IMO. He'll still crush a lot of people on the mic.
 
Eminem was a Dr dre cosign not some product of a machine .

Eminems been around for 16 years. Makelmore dont get near the respect em has gotten over time.

Theres so much more stuff thats diff lol.

I agree

Technically Em is great, but I don't **** with him. I can't relate. He doesn't speak to me. I thought he was corny since My Name Is and his production is pretty horrible.
 
There is a huge difference in "Skill" level but what he's saying is right. There benefiting from the machine that's backing
them both. I really don't see how anyone can disagree with this. A few things like the lack of soul in Em's music I don't
agree with. I feel everything he raps about comes from a true place, along with Mack. Lord clearly is pissed off but I
completely understand why.
