This was one of the few times Floyd received actual advice other than "keep doing whatcha doing", "keep boxing that mother ******" etc. Gunna, do you think his hands are why he isn't as aggressive?

I haven't watched the fight yet but it's interesting to read that his corner was giving actual advice. It's been like a decade since that's happened.

I think Floyd's lack of "aggression" is a combo of hand issues and minimizing risk. At this point Floyd's main concern is remaining undefeated. He's shown what he can do, in terms of using the left hook and combinations in general, in many fights in the past.

I think it's a part of it but it's more "the path of least resistance"

Where's Crooks?!? [emoji]128064[/emoji]

That makes sense. With defense and reflexes like he has I can understand doing what's necessary to win without taking unnecessary risks.

crooks and pro?

I think his hands play a HUGE part in this. but it would also be so unfair if Floyd had KO power so

That "left hook" advice is applicable to every Floyd fight after the gatti fight. He could have had at least 5-10 more KOs

This. I thought manny would be good enough to force Floyd to be more aggressive than his normal self but Floyd controlled the distance the whole fight. Nullified everything manny tried to do.

Dont think it has anything to do with whether you like a boxer or not.

Im giving Kirkland no shot without Wolfe, each of his losses has been with out her in his corner and he still has yet to implement any kind of defense.

Canelo will have to make him respect his power early in the fight

It is entirely up to Canelo on whether this fight goes the distance or has a stoppage
Each? He only has 1 L

Pretty sure Sr. was telling Floyd that because he really wanted to go for the KO. Floyd knew he was comfortably up and cruising. Really no need to take the risk. Personally, I hoped that Pacquiao would force the dragon to come out of Floyd like Mosley did. Sadly, he didn't force Floyd out of his comfort zone. Can't really blame Floyd when he cruised to a 118-110 decision.

Basically. This fight was too easy. He never even had to use the shell. Manny claims the punches weren't hurting him. So why were u at bay the whole time not attacking if the punches didn't hurt?

I can't tell a dude that steps in the ring and gets punched in the face for a living to take more risks, but yeah Floyd at 147 is way too safe sometimes. I guess part of it is the hands, but man, there's no reason why he shouldn't have lit a dude like Robert Guerrero up the whole damn fight. That's the difference between him and a dude like Roy for example, as much as people clowned Roy for his level of competition, if you weren't on his level he got you out of there, or made it a show the whole way through. Still appreciate what Floyd brings and it's also probably a big reason why's he's still undefeated so whatever man more power to him, but it would be nice to see the guy take a couple more risks sometimes.

Na bro not biying it.those 3 fights went for a combined 4 rounds. And he lost to a guy woth 7 kos in 29 bouts
He was also fresh out the pen look man James a good fighter man with heart and Canelo aint just gon walk thru him I know that

Has to be a catchweight.

Either way, if Broner wins, I'd be VERY impressed. Porter has the exact style that I think Broner would struggle big time against.

144 is a rumor.

I'm not buying into Broner at 147. He didn't hurt Paulie or Chino so to this point I have no reason to believe he can fend off Showtime if he wants to make it a phone booth fight.

Porter is gonna knockout Broner. Porter is very aggressive and throws hard with everything so he's likely to catch Broner he didn't impress vs Molina.

Broner just stands there and has horrible movement.

Porter had trouble against a technical boxer, Broner will be there all night for him to hit.
