Please Lock.

Curtis Stevens can bang, doesn't matter if he's B-level talent at best he's got A-level power and didn't get GGG's respect. He did, however, get him excited.

It's going to be a challenge getting Golovkin's respect in it of itself. Around 400 fights combined in both amateur and pro careers, and no one has yet been able to score a KO let alone a knock down on him.

AGAIN, who has he fought?!

Why are you trying so hard to discredit dude?

Let me answer your question with this, who in the middle weight division hasn't he gone through that is actually willing to jump in the ring with him? And if you have an answer to that, do you actually believe he would beat Golovkin?

Geale wasn't a slouch.

Murray wasn't a slouch, either and I actually thought he beat Sergio Martinez and was robbed. So technically, Murray could've/should've been lineal middleweight champ.

Goes against GGG. Boom. KO round 11.

-Drew

Klitschko needs to put in more legwork to help promote GGG. Sit ringside at his fights, walk him to the ring like the Watson brothers, fight on the same card, do something. Geez

TMZDrew relax, nobody trying to discredit him at all. I'm just saying he's not proven, he hasn't beat anyone yet, that's all. Once he fights A NAME and dominate them all credit will be given. AGAIN, you guys are acting like he's Mayweather.

I respect all boxers because they have the balls to get in the ring but I really dislike when they quit

you better then this man

he was a dead man walking. his trainer should have saved him before it came to this

You're right man.

But there's just something about quitting that irks me bro, is that wrong of me? We give crap to other guys that have quit before..

I know it's easy or me to say hat without ever having to box somebody with the power of GGG.

So in you eyes since he hasnt fought 'anyone' he just flat out sucks and all 20 ko's are overrated ko's and he hasnt deserved any of the respect or fanbase he has?

What is your legit reason for hatin on ggg so much? What is it about GGG that you dint like? Not the dudes he fought, but ggg As a fighter?

You hear me comparin him to floyd? No. So dont reply sayin im comparin him to floyd.

Sone great points in here about ggg.

That ring was huge on saturday. he is text book on how u cut it off and makes u engage. U cant dance for 12 rounds dudes amateur background is a big part of what seperates him from a bunch of guys as far as experience goes.

Aside from his ko percentage you cant not be impressed with ggg bc he does so many of the little things right. Yes he hasnt fought top competition yet but unlike a number of highly touted prospects he gets the lesser competititon out of there quickly and effectively. He isnt an all time great only bc he has hadnt a chance to prove it. Anyone in his division (that is a legit mw) i have a hard time calling a mw bc dudes are openly running from this cat

*Looks at statement.

*Looks at context of conversation.

*Looks at Krazy's avy.

I see what's going on.

My man getting all riled up in his/her emotions with the exclamation marks, capitalizations, and emoticons when others are just giving props to a great fighter not named Floyd.

No one is discrediting either fighter nor comparing.

You asked me a question, I gave you my answer, man.

So chill.

True, bro. That 350-5 amateur record is quite a feat to have under your belt. Even though he's 33 now, I don't think he's been wasting any time in boxing.

Imagine if there are 5 people in Kazakhstan that are actually better than GGG but didn't get their lucky break. The wars they would have.

I am a huge GGG fan and I think he has all the talent to be great. I blame the Champions at 160 for ducking this guy so we can really find out how talented he is.

I checked wikipedia, he actually lost in the olympics in 2004. Says nothing about the other losses though, so those were probably early in his career.

I'm wondering how those 5 dudes were able to beat him

he lost in athens then and he lost in a semi finals world games tourney. The world games was kind of the last straw bc he lost unexpectedly and most of the time you can attribute that stuff to bad judging or it just not being his night

body shots arent counted the same way head shots are in olympic style so that was part of it.

The two losses mentioned above neither of those fighter went pro either, and his losses for the most

somebody posted this and it has a list of his losses:

http://amateur-boxing.strefa.pl/Records/Golovkin_Gennadiy.html

also post came from this thread:
http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-617702.html

somehow andre dirrell is on this list as well lol

I heard he fought Andre Dirrell twice and that they each won once. I don't know if its true or hearsay. Most of us probably saw what he did to Bute

Son legit has only boxed twice in nearly a four year span.

Such a shame.

Such a great talent,

.
i have a feeling theyll try to milk this fight as the middleweight version of mayweather pacquiao. ward fights a tune up while GGG gets like 3-4 more ko's. they might try and prolong it to maximize profit
