1) it wouldn't hurt if they taught ruslan a little bit of head movement and footwork smfh... NOT saying you need to reinvent him, but a little effin defense could help him on the scorecards...

2) crawford is the future

3) chavez jr might be done... I dont think he truly likes boxing

4) HBO "At last" was awesome

As for your comments packing a punch and chin, I don't believe he ever had any of that. The guy was clearly a light heavyweight fighting in 154,160 now that he has gone up fighting guys his own size reality has sat in! Fonfara doesn't pack great power look what happened, fonfara was asked does jr pack a punch? By the 1st round I knew he couldn't punch. If he wants to be a force to be messed with again he needs to go back down 154-160 but he won't no discipline

Knew Crawford would handle Dulorme pimp.gif. I'd like to see him face Matthysse next.

Saw Matthysse working Provodnikov the first couple of rounds and fell asleep. Have it DVR'd, so I'll catch the rest, but Provodnikov has a lot to work on.

Not even gonna comment on JCC Jr. mean.gif.

Yea and unfortunate. Where was this matthyse against dsg

He panicked once his face got broken. Was too concerned about trying to land one bomb and covering his eye.

Btw , Lucas totally abandoned his body work or he would have finished Ruslan. Great show by the machine. I thought he won by at least 5 rounds.

Crawford is definitely going to be a star. Especially with Arum in there? laugh.gif

Me and my boy were calling fighters that would be on next after Floyd and Manny. I got Crawford, my boy had AB.
I would love to see Crawford wash AB. Been saying it back then. laugh.gif

going back down in weight is not going to help chavez JR he is not a good boxer period.

and people in here thought he could beat GGG LOL

AB would get washed so bad if he fought Crawford laugh.gif

I want GGG to unify all the titles at 160 so nobody can avoid him. But then again guys might just move up to 168 to steer clear.
I really dont see the hype around AB. he hasnt fought any great, or very skilled fighters. Put him in the ring wit crawford, tko, put hin against lucas, tko, hell i even got swift over ab.

Chavez cashed in over $4 million for that fight last night laugh.gif
post #2054 of 6894
I really wish I got to see all 9 rds of the JCC beat down, but I caught the end and seeing him beg his corner to stop the fight like 6x and then telling Jim Gray he won was hilarious.

As much as last nights HBO fight was a decent fight, it was kind of a letdown to me. The cut clearly hurt Ruslan, but he's just way too one-dimensional all the time to beat anyone at a high level. Didn't really get to see them trade much either.

Most entertaining fight of the year so far for me is still Chris Arreola's PBC fight laugh.gif
post #2055 of 6894
I had picked Matthysse to win by ko but good win for Lucas don't need a rematch. I even think Ruslan will be too much for Broner to handle as Ruslan comes forward.

I'd like to see Matthysse to fight Danny Garcia rematch I think this time Lucas wins or Lucas vs Broner and knock him out

Per California commission, Chavez's purse last night was $2.5M, Fonfara $400K. #boxing #ChavezFonfara

$4 mil. $2.5 mil. Whatever. He owes most of that to his dad, nearly his entire career came off piggybacking his father's work.

Just watched "Mayweather/Pacquiao;At Last":hat

It's no 24/7 but, I appreciate it on the simple notion that the Fight is happening. Good stuff in it though, Brought back some old memories and feelings.

Like for example the coming about of the "Money Mayweather" moniker and that commercial where he was throwing dollars at the screen, he was so so young, and that seemed like just yesterday.

Can't wait.

I think that was my first time seeing him.

Looks legit.

I commented in here as the fight was happening. There was a moment where Castillo had him in the corner.

And he was just rolling with the punches and countering with sharp right hands. **** was pretty.

Imam has a ton of talent, and boxes really well. I agree that I can see him winning a major title someday. I just want to see how well his chin holds up as he faces elite competition, because he definitely does allow himself to open up a bit defensively.
