Please Lock.

I have been lurking this thread for years, and since I do not get to talk much boxing I look forward to the opinions expressed here. How do you guys see it going? I think PBF should/is going to control distance with his jab but I also feel like he will try and fight PAC in the pocket. I think PBF feels that PAC is not the best inside fighter and he may stay close to keep him from jumping in and out.

I like this train of thinking. First 4 rounds is to gage Pac, as usual then start opening up.

Where do you guys think boxing goes after this fight? I'm looking forward to the extreme fan boys of either fighter going away. I'm hoping this fight along with the PBC and other network boxing showcases will bring more attention to the sport. I'm hopeful that guys like Crawford GGG and Ward can flourish. I'm hopeful that some of the politics in boxing won't keep us from seeing fights like Stevenson/Kovalev, Crawford/Broner, or GGG/Canelo. I'm also hopeful that Oscar can get his life together, stay out off women's clothes and stay away from the drugs.

. And Ward will flourish on BET.
In all seriousness. What do you expect BET's broadcast to look like..for Ward to flourish?

I'm asking where people think the sport will be in the next 5 years. Not from a mega fight perspective but which fighters do you think will be on top? What impact do you think PBC will have on the sport's popularity etc?

It's hard to be serious about boxing on BET . I don't think he will flourish under Roc Nation or on BET unless they can start getting better fights.

I can see it now.

1. A huge BET logo will race across the screen from right to left. The screen will fade to Black. AJ and Free will appear on the screen and give us a breakdown of the fight. AJ will mess up the fighter's names and Free will just laugh along. After about 30 minutes of this and special appearances by Julissa and Jin the fighters will come to the ring.

2. Andre Ward will come down to the ring with Big Tig freestyling about boxing being on on BET, specifically it will go like this, "Big Tig coming off the top letting you know that this boxing thing on BET won't stop"

3. The fans in the half empty arena will be going crazy as R Kelly sings the National Anthem with ballroom dancers.

4. Ward will square off against his opponent in the middle of the ring, the bell rings and we get round after round of nonstop boxing action.

5. Ward will dominate the fight, he knocks down his opponent, the ref counts to 10 and the lights go black.

6. We hear glass breaking and we hear Stone Cold Steve Austin's music start. He comes down to the ring and hits Dre and the ref with a stone cold stunner.

7. AJ and Free say the fight is over. The camera pans to a little kid crying and the screen fades to Black.

I'd like to see Canelo, GGG, Kovalev, Crawford, Bradley, Brook, Thurman, and some others be at the top in 5 years, but we'll see what happens.

PBC will have to put on more fights like DSG Vs. Peterson to gain more casual viewers. I'd like to see if Haymon comes with a bigger fight than that one on PBC.

Man, round 2 in the PBF/Mosley fight is bananas. Flloyd got caught twice and didn't go down. He then recovers and dominates the fight easily.
He was actually coming back towards that same round.
Yup. I've watched that fight so many times. To see Floyd sitting on the edge of his stool between 2nd & 3rd round. He had imma kill this dude focus.

Wish he had that mentality more often.
I like watching the mosley and canelo fight its Floyd at his best.

I get mad every time watching the mosley fight that Floyd stop pressing mosley he could have stopped him easy, he was begging for it .

golden boy and Oscar already trying to get them out the paint

So Bob Arum monopolizes boxing by having all the fights in house but Haymon gets sued for doing the same? Stupid.

Structurally the two are not doing the same thing. Haymon serves as both promoter and manager. This is a conflict of interest, which is why his fighters use the term "advisor". We all know Arum is a puppet master, but his fighters have their own managers. Pacquiao is managed by Koncz. A lot of Arums other boxers are managed by Cameron Dunkin like Crawford, Rios, Mikey Garcia, until recently Bradley, etc.
