Please Lock.

I honestly feel that GGG is somewhat over rated. He has extreme power and skill but it isn't like he has fought anyone that impressive yet. Although there are some good wins on his record just not great. I think GGG is still on the rise and will be a star of the sport.

I'm not going to say he's "over rated" but I agree with a lot of what you're saying.

The obssession with him in this thread borders on creepy sometimes

I just want to see GGG actually tested against an opponent that is on his level.

GGG vs Ward would be better than GGG vs Cotto or Canelo

Cotto vs Canelo should be the next big fight

Mexico vs PR :pimp:

Man, Canelo punches come with such power. You could even hear those punches...pow!. I thought Kirkland might pull an upset. I hope he works on his defense thou..and take care of himself. GGG or Cotto. I'm ready.

He comes in mad heavy tho doesn't ward fight at 168?

They could fight at a catch weight. Floyd is 5'8 he fought corrales who was 6'1

Its not just the height, but the overall size of both fighters. Some people say that Paul Williams is taller than listed, like 6'2-6'3" and he fought at 147-154. Canelo struggles to make 154, but he's definitely not a middleweight and he's not built like Curtis Stevens. Ward is 2 weight classes higher and would school Canelo easily. I don't even think Ward vs GGG is fair, and I've been saying that for a while. GGG is right where he should be at 160.

My bad he's listed at 6'0 I just checked

^^^^ yeah I every site I check has him around 5' 10''. But just looking at them in the ring he seems to be more that 2'' taller than Floyd

-BTW if you guys want a chuckle, watch the beginning of that fight video. Where Floyd is talking about him being too defensive and Roger making him attack more

well nobody knows how good he is because nobody elite will fight him. so it's just a known unknown

i thought he beat trout convincingly, do you mean lara?

Yes he did, yes he did...

Had trout doin the stanky leg

 There was more to that fight than a single knockdown tho, I still scored it for Trout. Canelo had the heavier hands so of course his big shots had more of an impact but the dude got outworked that fight. If Trout had any kind of real power it woulda been a bad night for cinnamon. He was inactive for long stretches each round during that fight and trout won alotta rounds, definitely thought Canelo got the A side decision there. I mean one judge actually had Canelo 118-109, complete ********. Lara fight was very debatable too.

I think Canelo's "big" wins have either been debatable (trout, lara) or knocking out come forward brawlers with no defense who arguably weren't at their peak (angulo, kirkland). He's talented tho. But I think he gets wrecked by GGG, and the Cotto fight should be interesting.

I was just going to say. You can't blame Golovkin for obliterating everyone in his division and having elite fighters avoid him.
