Please Lock.

He is a corny Floyd copy-cat that doesn't have the same skill set as Floyd and has already been exposed.

He does have the "people will watch my fights because they want to see me lose" thing going for him.

Maybe Haymon can turn him into a PPV star just based on that but he has to keep winning

Don't underestimate the "people will watch my fights because they want to see me lose" factor.  That was the main thing that just allowed floyd to have a $300 million year by far the highest of all time of any athlete.  The only person that could possibly break this in the future is Broner

I know but Floyd wouldn't have made as much as he has if he lost.

Broner has already been beaten and if he loses to Porter tomorrow night, it would be extremely difficult to push him as the next star in boxing.

I think floyds next fight will be some chump, and im sure he would fight a 50tg time, and i think by then, thurman can bring in some ppv revenue

Broner will never be a PPV star hell he prbly wont make it back to HBO after this L. Floyd is who he is bekuz nobody has touched him in 20 years we have already seen Broner get man handled and will see another L tomorrow night.

Yea Floyd definitely fight a bum next fight... I'm streaming that joint.

Will be buying the 50th tho. :pimp:

The clock is ticking on broner, let's say he does beat porter, what next? There are too many fighters in his weight class that will whoop his *** not to mention he's already been exposed by maydonna. If he starts to correct his mistakes and improve his footwork he can keep winning. But he hadn't really had an impressive outing against a worthy opponent

Like AB says himself, he's not a boxer he's a professional entertainer and he'll draw that way.  There's a reason him and his team turned down the $40 million deal from Roc Nation.  AB is worth more, he's about billions

If he beats Porter I'd be shocked, but now that Danny vacated at 140 I think Broner's best bet is to stay at 140 and try to get a belt there. He's definitely more competitive at that weight and who knows, with the right matchmaking and the right work ethic he could actually be pretty successful. Brook or Thurman would wash him though so 147 definitely isn't the move.

Few Odds I have seen today

Broner +105

Porter -125

Broner hasen't even seen a $3M payday yet only thing he's about is he's about to take to take this L.

Turning Jay down was a big mistake IMO

Not when there's so many sports more popular than boxing in the US right now.  Look at the top american boxers that win but aren't more than just a boxer and look at how little they make.
Broner hasn't proved anything tho idc how much entertainment he does at the end of the day he fights bums, and when he is in the ring with real talent he gets washed. He's fighting on NBC for a reason now

While I don't feel that Broner is a PPV star at this point in time, I think he will be. At this point in time fighting on NBC isn't necessarily a bad thing. The networks are riding the high of May/Pac giving boxing a shot in the arm (the fight failed but it generated more interest in the sport). This is a great way to give Broner a lot more exposure . If Broner puts on a show it will elevate his popularity with casual fans or even fans who don't know much about boxing at all. If anything him fighting on NBC shows that they want him to be a prime time star and that he can be. NBC and Showtime are the same company.

Broner is right on the cusp of being a PPV star but he needs some more names under his belt like you are saying.

CBS and Showtime bruh not NBC

Dude really think ab the future? Son is as average as they come. U can be the most entertaining, cocky etc etc. But if u aren't that good no one will take u serious. People won't pay to see broner lose because we already saw it and it was bad. Unless he gets in the gym and works on all his flaws he will be taking those fights with mediocre no names while we watch the real fighters fight.

He's not going to sell himself short for $40 million.  He's going to have reality shows in the future, music that will be licensed into different avenues.  His own boxing promotions company.  Maybe even the silver screen.  $40 million is chump change
