Let's be real. This fight is as good as triple GGG's next fight and Berto has the same shot at winning Lemieux has. They're both hot garbage PPVs that I will download the morning after. If you're going to complain about Floyds PPV, do the same with GGG's.

Come on, dudes aren't exactly lining up to fight GGG.

To me it seems like Floyds been trying to give berto a chance. think ortiz/berto and guererro/berto and now since its his "last" fight he just said **** it. Dunno the correlation, maybe hes just trying to give berto a payday

Its one thing to complain that GGG-Lemieux isn't ppv worthy and that they both haven't fought any true competition, but to compare it to the Mayweather fight is comical.. One involves 2 power punchers and is guaranteed to be an action packed fight that won't go the full 12, while the other fight is likely going to be Mayweather outboxing the **** out of Berto in a snoozefest. I agree that the GGG fight shouldn't have been a ppv, but its still a can't miss fight. Don't sleep on Lemieux ppl, I think he's gonna bring it to GGG even though hell eventually get knocked out

$24.99/$34.99 for GGG vs. Lemieux, and a Chocolatito fight isn't terrible, if those rumored prices are true.

I don't give Lemieux much of chance in that fight either, but he still has enough power to make that fight at least interesting.

The correct move was to put this on CBS. Too much backlash after the Pac fight.

This is no doubt gonna be his worst PPV buys post DLH.

There's another rumor that broke out a couple days ago involving probably the two biggest names in the welterweight division besides Mayweather. I'm surprised that I don't see it on any of the major boxing sites.

Mayweather can literally fight anyone he wants. GGG is being avoided by anyone worth a damn. Lemieux is actually coming off a GREAT fight and brings something to the table. Berto's resume is awful and isn't some upcoming, prime fighter who hasn't gotten a shot. Good luck finding an impressive Berto win in the last 4 years.

You talking about Jose Zepeda vs Soto-Karass right

Damn. I don't think I'm even going to waste time streaming.

I'll catch the highlights.

Same here, but when I think a Mayweather fight is going to have good action, it turns out to be boring.
Guerrero
Canelo
Pacquiao

When I think a Mayweather fight is going to be a snooze fest it turns out to be the opposite.
Mosley
Cotto
Maidana

I'm probably going to end up watching it, I won't be paying a red cent though.

Just because everybody is avoiding GGG, that justifies his fight against Lemeiux (who has two loses) to be on PPV? How can they put him in against a guy who I don't even think has fought on HBO before? No casual fan has even heard of dude. There is NO way that fight should be PPV now matter how you slice it. And calling it a "must see" is laughable. GGG is going to do the same thing to him Rubio did only much worse.

Why not? GGG's ratings on HBO have increased with every appearance, and he's continuing to build his brand. If the fight does well on PPV, the excuse that "he doesn't bring money to the table" is no longer valid. Undercard is loaded too...

Lemieux has built himself up nicely since the two fluke losses and hell based on power and skill, I'd give him a live shot to pull of the upset.

Style wise, you can't tell me this isn't a good matchup. Or would you rather GGG continue to fight guys who get touched once then drop to the canvas cause it ain't worth it...

P.S. Lemieux/Rosado was on HBO. I was at the Barclays that night, believe it or not...both of them had a live fan base show up for a card with no "REAL" names.

Lemieux has not built himself hp nicely. Only die hards know who he is. Don't get me wrong I like the fight but this is NOT a PPV fight. Lemieux is pretty much a nobody. He presents no problems for GGG. He has power? Well so did Curtis Stevens, and he caught GGG clean and did nothing.

Agreed, definitely shouldn't have been a PPV. Lemieux could make things interesting but I'm not confident enough to put down $50 on that.

I'm either streaming or heading to the bar for this and the Mayweather fight.

When I said built himself up, I meant putting himself in a position to challenge GGG. Winning 8 fights in a row and a belt at 160 isn't enough? Sure because Monroe Jr and Rubio did so much more to be in position.

I agree the ggg fight shouldnt be ppv, but they have been hypin his name up a ton latley. You ask any casual fans about ggg and they say ' oh thats that dude that has 30 somethin knockouts in a row right? '
If you ask who lemiuex is nobody knows who the **** he is. Then you tell em hes from canada and ****** dont know **** about a boxer outside of the states unless his name is pac man or mayorga.

So i think a lot of casuals are down to drop bread on it before they even think about buyin another nayweather fight.

Lemiuex is sick wit it tho. Guarantee GGG is gona let him in the drama show and have us goin nuts.

These are two fearless dudes with a lot of heart, i predict 150k buys- but the hype that will generate off his name after this ppv card is whats gona be more profitable.

Chocolotito gona get his shine on too!!

I'm hoping Manny fights Crawford when he comes back next year.  Might be a little too early for Crawford to be fighting someone like that, but the risk is worth the reward IMO.

Is Khan leaving Al?  Not sure how a fight with Pac is made otherwise.

Tom Loeffler says no rematch clause( for Cotto-Canelo) will be accepted by GGG in regards to their position in the WBC... #boxing

Per Kathy Duva, Main Events offered Artur Beterbiev $500,000 plus part of revenue from the Canadian PPV to fight Kovalev. Offer rejected.
