The Trouble With White Rappers

Iggy Azalea and Azelia Banks, two pop rappers have been embroiled in twitter fights for months. After Banks decided to take the opportunity to reignite their beef during the Ferguson protests, their conflict took on a new shape. Previously, Banks’ took issue Azalea being named to the XXL freshman list, and her a line from one song, a clumsy attempt to flip a slavery reference in a song which she subsequently apologized for. This time, her call out during an already tumultuous time in this country regarding race took on an entirely new dimension. Rather than a one-on-one beef, Banks was suddenly fighting for all hip-hop to most observers.

Iggy Azalea raps in a fake accent, can't freestyle, and doesn't write her own raps.  And people would be ok with this if she could acknowledge the privilege she enjoys (she won't) like Eminem did.

Azalea Banks is a weirdo but at least she's out there taking all the heat that comes with criticizing the system of racism white supremacy....which is more than I can say for a lot of other so-called 'gangsters' and 'shooters' and 'dope boys' rapping about flipping bricks when the most they've ever seen is probably an eight ball.

but Eminem was better than iggy, he wouldnt be be a 100M+ man he is now if he wasnt white, but with the same skills, he would at least be jadakiss status, which is still major
