I'm black. Dated White, Mexican and Blacks girls throughout life. My wife is Mexican. She made me happiest out of all my relationships, thus us getting married and we plan on teaching our kids both cultures. Being in an interracial relationship can be hard, she wasn't used to the looks and stares at first. But we care more about each other than what other closed minded people think so she got over it and it doesn't bother her at all now.

I dated a half white/Mexican girl once, but other than that it's been nothing but Latinas. Since that is all I see around where I live. But I love IR

My views have changed on it in the last few years, which I never thought would have happened. I wouldn't go as far to say I'm against it, but I definitely will not support it.
I really can't stand the nonsense people spew about the practice fighting racism.
I don't think someone comparing, and degrading people of a race, to promote their partner is helping rid the world of racism. From these threads in the past on here over the years, it wasn't uncommon to see someone say something of that nature.
And I think some in these relationships are probably looking for all those "stares" themselves; sort of how someone with social anxiety thinks everyone in the room is looking at them.

This isn't a personal attack just want to keep the convo going off some things you mentioned. Maybe some people do go looking for "stares." That's never been the case with me or anyone I've ever been with. Being a black man is enough to get "Stares" in our society so I think you may have had a particular situation sour your vantage point. If someone is letting their partner disrespect anyone regardless of face and they don't agree with it they should speak up or peace out. All my relationships have just happened. From my experience (personal or people I know), acceptance of racially diverse relationship, particularly from the families, has a socioeconomic factor.
Seems to be that lower class seem to be less accepting of mixed relationships, I'll chalk it up to less education and a certain level of ignorance that can result from it
All that said, not saying my experience is end all be all, so take it for what it is

other than the eyes and lips, i dont really care for those features, im not team good hair even tho most of the girls i mess with have "good hair" and i actually prefer dark girls
all that being said, honestly, my kid will probably look like her, too many lightskin, mixed chicks and what not be choosin me

I'm about to try and pursue something with a white chick i met and from what i hear a lot of her fam has already taken the plunge into mixed couples, so i feel a lot better. do you know what it is that sets off family. is it just the look of the kids? thats so petty. do they think the dad is no good?
nothing against your fam btw.. my own mom is sorta against dark skinned women for whatever reason. can't control how people were conditioned.
