Stuart Scott Dead after Long Battle with Cancer

I've used the Stuisms so many times in day to day life. "Cooler than the other side of the pillow" was the most frequent one. It was cool watching one of Chi Towns own talk about sports like we all do in our homes at the bar. It's crazy to see this brother gone after such a long battle.

This hits home for me because my mom survived breast cancer that was diagnosed last year. It's true you have to remain positive and keep fighting. Your spirit is a huge part of the battle.

RIP STU

It's strange to think of him not being around... one of those people and personalities that have been around for so long that you take it for granted.

Whether or not you were a fan, you can't deny his love of sports, his family, and life. He was inspirational and he will be missed.

The big buddy commercial is one of my favorite Stu moments.

reminds me of Paul Walker's death, some people you just feel like you have a genuine connection to

RIP SS

Really thought Stuart Scott would beat cancer...Sad day indeed. Always thought of him as a little corny , but that's him, and he was appreciated.

You will be missed, #BOOYAH #WHATSGOOD?

Hearing Sage Steele talk about what he did for her and how they instantly connected shows how genuine this dude is. Can't lie I teared up. We've lost 2 great brothers who were great contributors to sports in the past month to this ***** of a disease (Brian Burwell)

Hate him or love him he was great at his job. I've been waiting for him to come back to ESPN but I didn't know that his cancer was this bad, rest in peace.

R.I.P. to my fraternity brother Stuart Scott.

I watched his ESPY speech a couple months ago just to put my own life into perspective.

Enjoy the Omega Chapter.

I hate hearing people say things like “You didn't know him why do you care?”. I’m a huge sports fan, so is my dad and some of the best quality time I've had with my dad was staying up late and watching sportscenter. Sitting on the couch laughing at Stuart’s commentary “Mama there goes that man” as a football player streaks into the in zone or “As cool as the other side of the pillow” as a basketball player makes a no look pass, these are memories I’ll always have and quality time well spent with my dad. Rip Stuart Scott :frown:

I love how they're playing all the Stuart Scott SC commercials. That was tv gold watching Eisen paying homage to his comrade

Still in such shock. 49. Wow man, way too young. Sad part is, even though he was having the battle with Cancer you felt like he was going to beat it...

Being an inner city kid, he made Sportscenter so relatable. Him, Rich Eisen, Scott Van Pelt, Kenny Mayne and Chris Berman made it so great to watch...

All this coverage on SC is tough to get through. Seemed like he had a bigger impact than I could have ever imagined, not just on sports but on society as a whole

Rich is ******* awesome for that!!

:pimp:

still can't believe it. for whatever reason, i thought he was cancer free and in the clear. i remember his speech at the espy's and i dunno, assumed he was all good. pretty sad. but glad that even more people are getting to realize the things he did off camera and how he impacted people's lives in other ways than just delivering highlights.

Remembered waking up early during high school and would watch Stuart and Eisen every morning. Always enjoyed his style. It was something different.

RIP
