DMX RELEASING AN ALBUM NEXT WEEK

View media item 1338582We’ve seen more and more artists follow the example (perhaps unwisely, in some cases) Beyoncé set with her self-titled album over a year ago, and now DMX is planning a surprise release of his own. This morning the Yonkers rapper announced his new independent solo album, Redemption of the Beast, which will hit iTunes next Tuesday, January 13. Serving as the follow-up to 2012’s Undisputed, the project will include 16 unreleased songs plus guest appearances from Freeway, Rampage and Jannyce.

The novelty of a swift and muted release certainly helped J. Cole’s 2014 Forest Hills Drive top the Billboard 200, but it’s hard to see DMX reaping the same success. Nevertheless, check back next week to see if X really has found redemption (musically speaking, at least).

I don't really follow anything on social media, but I've heard he'd been around swizz a lot lately. Wonder if he produced anything on it.
 
This album is gonna be so damn awful. X is in my top 10 of all time but I know this one is gonna be embarrassing, just like his last one. I'll download it though, hope I like it.

Ironically X is in my top 5 and his cameo stole the show in that movie for me personally.

Wish drugs never got to homie X was really one of the best.
 
Looks like your prayers have been answered @nawghtyhare.  Just a few weeks ago you were begging for a new album from DMX and now here you have it.  I guess those heart felt letters that you sent to DMX on Celebrity Rehab did the trick.  You did it champ, I'm proud of you.....if you can believe that or not.  

Now all you have do is go buy this new album and get others to go buy this album as well.  Seems like a difficult challenge given the circumstances but since your a DMX advocate, I say if you made it this far keep going.  Might be easier said than done however.

Dmx is getting money. You should see his skit on chris rocks movie top five. Hilarious. Itll show you how this ***** never took up singing. Lol
