Coachella 2015 (nm lock me)

Just got back home to Norcal. Tired but it was well worth it. The Weeknd and Ye, Alesso and Tove Lo, DJ Snake and DMX/Aluna George, David Guetta and Nicki Minaj :smokin. So many more but too sleepy to type

Bruh we were at the same places.

Drake was nothing special, but I was still turnt up. Flosstradamus was nuts. Kaskade killed it. Wish I went to Stromae and Odesza.

Mind blowing experience. I was rolling stones and made out with a random chick just by locking eyes.

Kinda down today form all the fun and while trying to come down. Not sure if I'll do it next year tho.

Peace and love was everywhere.

You dudes drove there?

Yup drove from Norcal. Drive wasn't too bad (split between 3 people). We stopped by LA on the way back to grab some grub and avoid some of the traffic.

Yeah man, I left Drake's set early to check out Katranada. Always wanted to check dude out live and he did not disappoint.

My favorite set of the weekend was probably FKA Twigs. Her performance was mesmerizing! She bad too :wow:

did almost all of this

My body is still recovering.. and def struggling to return to the normal world.

I am pretty surprised that I was able to catch almost every set on my list. We caught 28.

Although we didn't stay for many full sets, I'm glad we were able to catch a few songs from each.

Here's who I was able to see, with my favorites underlined and the full sets we saw in bold:

FRIDAY

Vic Mensa

Lil B

Ab-Soul

Sylvan Esso  - hadn't really heard of them before but checked them out and ended up staying to see the whole set

Alabama Shakes  - Hands down the best performance that I caught

Interpol

Tame Impala - pretty sure this is the point where I blacked out... Very disappointed since Tame Impala was one of my must see bands

Flying Lotus - Did not make it thru this set and missed out on AC/DC

SATURDAY - the most hectic but the very best day of the weekend!

Yellow Claw

Toro y Moi

Milky Chance

Chet Faker

Belle and Sebastian

Glass Animals

Alt-J

Tyler the Creator

Tycho

FKA Twigs  -

Jack White

Ratatat

The Weeknd  - mainly because of the gawd, YEEZUS

SUNDAY

M0

Mac Demarco

RAC

Vance Joy

Jamie xx

ODESZA

Drake

Sets that I missed:

AC/DC

Lykke Li

Benjamin Booker

Run the Jewels

Father John Misty

Flosstradamus

Saint Motel

What So Not

Kygo

Overall, I'd say this past weekend was probably the best event I've ever been to. Car camping wasn't nearly as bad as some of the stories I've heard, met a lot of truly nice people, discovered a few new artists, boozed every morning until night, and was

 the entire time.

Man, withdrawals were bad the past few days. I've been sick ever since coming back, but it was worth it.

Walked into Sahara as soon as no type played, but saw all of DMX and it was nuts.

Yeah looking back on it I would have watched Odesza over Drake too.

IMO sunsetting while Kaskade was playing was insane.

Anyone ever been to Hard Fest? Line up is pretty nice.

Last hard I went to was 2012 or 13. When skrillex and boys noize headlined different days not dog blood. I'm hoping they release one day tickets. I would love to see the chemical brothers again. I'll probably just bite the bullet and get the 2 day pass.

Yea, was looking to just go for Saturday :\

That Hard lineup is nice, was planning on flying out from southern california to my friends spot in SF for Outside Lands, but he may have to come out for Hard

Still curious what FYF's lineup will be as well

they're different weekends. ive never been to osl or hard before. Can you guys share your experiences with them?

My gut feeling for fyf is drive like jehu and Interpol headlining.

I think Interpol was there last year and if DLJ is there (which is highleey possible) they won't headline.

Modest Mouse is pretty much a lock to headline. Not sure about the other day.

Already got my HARD ticket. Hands down their best lineup they've had since HARD Halloween 08. Wish it was at the Shrine or anywhere that would go to 2AM or later but it's still gonna be a :smokin time. Need a partybus

HARD is Hipster EDC.

They try to brand themselves as not a rave and it isn't but ravers still go and there is a HEAVY (95%) EDM presence. The audience seems to skew a little older (like 21 lol) compared to EDC LA (which was younger not sure how EDC LV is cause I haven't gone).

A lot of live acts, a lot of DJs, A lot of girls. If you even remotely like the lineup I suggest you go. Tons of fun, dancing all around. Only downside is how early they end.

I didn't go to their Halloween event so I don't know how the Fairplex is but I hear it's very large.

There's 30 + acts I want to see but the major ones are

Sat: Weeknd, Chemical Brothers LIVE!!!!, Rae Srremurd, Gorgon City, Years & Years, Lunice
Sun: DJ Mustard & Friends, Caribou, RL Grime, Boys Noize, Jamie XX, Spank Rock, Chromeo, Jack U
