Ain't gon lie At home here in MD, I've crossed state lines for the yambs (Delaware, PA, NJ, VA, DC) 
..luckily the states r smaller n closer in the Mid Atlantic so nothin more that like an hour n a half or 2 ....when I lived in GA, the farthest I went was from ATL to west GA or UGA
Supposed to have a broad flying from Tampa to come see next weekend tho

Traveling far?... Most might have been probably a 30 min drive. I normally never had to go outside of the Baltimore Metro Area for the box.
But traveling far into the hood?... Plenty of times and I do have a couple of stories about those times, dog... :x
