played in my curry ones today for the first time. Man i cannot stress enough how great these were. Came into my league game and didn't need to break them in at all. Fits true to size had nike hyper elite on so more cushioning. and the traction on these wire on point. definitely thinking about keeping both pairs. Compared these to the clutch fit drives. they are a more snug hit that really holds up a better support and better traction.
 
the curry feels like the huarache 2k5 if you remember hooping in them for my older cats it feels just like that ..

for my foot atleast

2k5 were more bouncer and a bit lower to the ground.
id say currys fit like the 2k3 without the zoom air. these r just super stiff on the heel . but do got great ankle support and material.
 
got my gold banners in yesterday, i was surprised just how yellow the UA logo still looks in person in certain light
 
Never owned a pair of the original Clutchfit Drive. Compared to the Curry 1's which cushioning do you guys like better stand alone Micro G or Charged+Micro G?

Thinking of getting the Clutchfit 1's because they're highly rated and wanted to feel that full length Micro G midsole cushion bounce and the Clutchfit upper.

Cushioning feels the same after wearing both CFD and Curry for some time. Clutchfit upper is better. Slightly better flexibility but the durability aspect is the difference. There is a black/white CFD low on FTL/Eastbay if you prefer lows.

I have the opposite feeling.  It could be due to the shape of my feet since I have unusually long toes, but I find the Clutchfit Drives (CFD) less comfortable on the toe box than the Anafoam Curry Ones. CFD are also a little bit tighter and harder to get my feet into.  Micro G feels a tad more softer.  Also the Clutchfits get hotter especially if out on a hot day, less comfortable to wear casually as the day goes on. Traction is identical to me.

Agreed. Another thing is I constantly get blisters with clutchfits due to such low ventilation, currys I had no problem
 
Oh yeah forgot about the ventilation, or lack thereof. He didn't ask so I didn't answer lol. He should get them based off the cushioning he asked about.
 
Alrite, looks like the Clutchfit Drive 1's are a no go since cushioning is almost identical but the poor ventilation is definitely a deal breaker. I hate getting blisters. I was thinking of getting those CFD Lows that popped up but I'll prolly just get another Curry 1 low instead.

I don't have a pair of CFDs so why were they so universally braised and the curry one is meh? Is it because it was a newer basketball brand (like brandblack this year)
 
Both are UA's best selling basketball shoes. You can't go wrong with either if you had to choose one. Of course, 9 out of 10 would pick the Curry Ones as they're $5 cheaper (mids) :lol:


Much better with MVP laces. There is grey (from the fade) on the MVP so it works out. Didn't make sense on the Banners.

So tried using VIP coupon at Champs and they said it can't be used on retros.

Curry Ones are retros now??
