OFFICIAL UA CURRY 1 : CHARGED BY BELIEF. PLAYOFFS RELEASE 5/22 /// MVP'S 6/13

As long as the batmans don't release for $120, but I'm keeping my Champ pack deadstock so I can return them until I know they won't pull that.
That's probably a good idea. My guess is the Batmans are not releasing. Overall I like what UA is doing. It seems like they made more pairs of the Curry 2's, which I think is a good idea. From what I read all of the Curry 1's were limited to some extent. Even making more of the Curry 2 within the next couple weeks the Dubnation's and the ISI will be sold out.

I think its cool that they're releasing the SP for retail price too. Nike did something similar with the Mambacurial earlier this year. They released a special edition pack with a t shirt and hat for 275. You can now get a pair of Mambacurials for as low as 135 from a retailer. I think people who really want the shoes are starting to catch on. The only reason shoes are still selling out is because resellers haven't caught on yet

I agree with what you are saying. As far as resellers goes, the best thing to do is to make them sit on their product. As hard as it is, we have to stick together and do it. The demand will still be there but it won't be resellers buying multiple pairs like they have been doing. Amazingly I don't hate resellers, I think what they are doing is wrong but they are just taking advantage of the free market. That's why it's up to us to help curtail what they are doing.

@mattmiller322  Yeah, I'm not completely against resellers either. I've bought from resellers sometimes and I've sold stuff myself. Brands are now taking that into account though and raising their prices while also coming up with fake limited gimmicks. The resell market is almost dead now but some resellers haven't realized it. They're still trying to make that extra 10-30 bucks while putting money in ebay, paypal, and everyone else's pocket.

I'm glad UA went back to their 120 price. They'll probably sell out super quick but if I do manage to get a pair I'll be happy with my purchase. Nike would have kept it at 200+.

Those are very good points. I do agree Nike would have kept it at 200+ but in their defense them joints would have still sold out.

Wow, I remember when I started this thread and what the vibe was at that time.  There was just anticipation and simple joy in picking up available releases of the colorways we wanted.  A great performer at a great price.

Things sure have taken a turn for the worse.  What UA did with this whole pack and the SP alone is ugly.

What I'm taking away from all of this is that it's another wake-up call.  I thought UA was heading in the wrong direction back when the Dub Nations and MVP's released.  That was the moment for me when UA wasn't the UA I was familiar with anymore, with releases like the CF Drives and Spawns, two under the radar shoes that deliver on court.  I'm still down with some of their product because they can make amazing stuff.  I just don't want to hear statements from UA about being innovators and setting trends instead of following them and being different from Nike and Adidas.  Actually, maybe they CAN say that, has Adidas or Nike ever done something like this?

Good luck to all of you guys with the packs or who want the SP's alone.  What a mess.

When has Nike or jordan offered a pack then offered a single shoe from that very pack?

Also, it wasn't a surprise move from UA. Didnt we all know that the sp were being sold separately in advance?

Don't understand why all the tears against UA.

you sound like an under armour plant

how do you not understand why people are upset?

somepeople actually bought the pack at 400 for the splash parties only to find out they are only 120 by themselves

you need to keep an open mind man

I'm tired of this launch locator bs. All the stores is call say there not getting them.
I'm trusting the launch locator for my local FNL.  The guy I was talking to acted like I was casing the place so I'm not taking his word for it.

this is a "bold" move by UA, releasing the Champ Pack then releasing the Splash.... they had to know this would upset some folks who bought the Pack.... so next time they release a Pack, do folks jump at the Pack or wait it out? can't see how this helps build a loyal customer base, but time will tell.

i'd have had more respect for UA if they released everything at the same time and given their customers a choice, Pack or Splash. i didn't get/want either, but it certainly makes me look at UA differently than i did before. to me this looks like its strictly a money grab.  i know they're in the market to sell shoes, but the best way to sell shoes is to build a loyal fan base. dont see how this move does that.

did people not know that the splash party was coming out by itself besides with the champ pack?
i swear we were told in advance. supposedly the splash was coming out before the pack, but then was pushed to after.

UA has done nothing wrong besides pricing the pack at Jordan level when curry ain't no where close to it. let's all just laugh at people thinking that curry champ pack were a worthy resell item.

Price is pretty much the biggest gripe people have imo

They originally said it would be 185

Now its 120.

They overcharged people for the pack. Its pretty foul when you think of it that a company can just take $160 from people lol that box is nothing special so the extra 160 is not justified

Maybe if you can live in the box

Im curious to see the availability tomorrow.

Im glad I didnt get caught up in the end of the shoe run. UA messed it up. Banners and batmans too similar, Champ pack over priced, Splash partys incorrect and released twice within a month.  The champ pack should have just been the F&F white lows for $200. Batmans and SP should have been individual releases at regular pricing.

I do want a pair of the purple lows. That would be the last curry 1 Id buy if it ever gets offered.

shame on me for getting suckered into buying the champ pack. anyone know if I can return something from UA.com to a factory outlet store (like what nike lets you do)? i can't pay $160 for a box and live with myself, no matter how much i love curry and the warriors :smh:

There is an UA factory store in Livermore.  I returned an online order to that store.  Other than that there is one in Napa and Vacaville, but I'd call first.

sweet. if anyone wants a champ pack, there will be a 10.5 at the livermore outlet thursday haha

maybe it will be on OUTLET prices too.

I'm hoping all the people who bought the champ pack to resell or who are fair weather fans that thought they were getting a rare gem for their collection returns them.
Then UA got no choice but to discount them to a reasonable price. wishful thinking of course

never heard anything about a special edition mambacurial from this year for $275. if you are talking about the one that came with the giant box, the box and the hat was free and the shoes were retail. bad example anyway because when Nike put a pack together and charges $500 (gift of flight, penny packs) they never release those shoes individually. If they do release them individually they would still be $180, $225, $250 shoes. UA is going to get a lot of hate when they release the SP tomorrow by itself. the batman and the box cost $280. that's just insane.

SP is gonna be more for the fans in bay area tho according to the launch locator. everyone else will have to try online.
