OFFICIAL UA CURRY 1 : CHARGED BY BELIEF. PLAYOFFS RELEASE 5/22 /// MVP'S 6/13

@DuMMie SOLE thanks for the vid. Definitely copping.

Bro I lost your number. Hit me up. On a side note, did you pick up a Mamba moment pair?

Thanks for posting that interview.  Based on the video it sounds like Homes and an all-star colorway for AS weekend and then the Aways on 3/1.  Thread has been updated to reflect that.  Also psyched about the energy colorways he referred to.

Edit:  Just watched NW's vid at the unveiling and at the end a statement pops up saying all six colorways will release on 2/13.  I would lean towards the Head of Footwear's info. as being more accurate, but just thought I should point it out.

Might be a sign for the aways. Makes sense for the debut to have that logo prominent and visible. Maybe they will change the actual release as well.

Probably since it's camo pattern the black blends in with the theme.

Well, word is the Kyrie 1 is underwhelming and initial thoughts on the Curry 1 are positive.  Not so sure what Nike could have done for him at a $120 price point, compared to the SC 1.

I'm personally glad it worked out this way.  The Clutchfit Drive is my personal favorite to play in at the moment and easily makes my all time best list.  It was also ranked very highly with popular youtube reviewers.  Jordan XX9's are up there too, but they cost almost twice as much.  Curry obviously was killing it in the Drives.  The Curry 1 has similar elements, so I'm hyped.  And it's going to be $5 cheaper.  Look at what happened with the KD line.  Started off inexpensive and then ballooned to his elites costing two bills.  No thanks.

I don't get what Curry staying with Nike even does for people, unless they have actual stock invested in Nike.  It's one thing to say you are financially invested in a company's success, and therefore you want that company to have the most marketable and profitable athletes as part of the brand.  I would get that.  But to want people to be with a brand just because...

Most people on NT are nike slaves and stick with the brand...

It's funny how so many people bash UA yet if they had a swoosh on them instead of the UA logo people would be all over them. The majority of people just want to try and fit in so they go with what's "hot" at the moment and what everyone else is doing. If they see a famous person rocking them they have to have them.

It's stupid in my book but whatever it makes it easier for me to cop what I want.

After watching that video of the SC1s, it makes me want to test out that new cushion system.

I played in my CFDs for the first time today and I was blown away by how great of a shoe it is. I like how UA is pricing their shoes. Hopefully they dont get carried away and hike up their prices like we see Nike do so often.

I'm very satisifed with the CFDs and its looking like UA will be my basketball shoe of choice for a long time :smokin

Steph is my favorite player and these are actually nice...

So I'm in for a few pairs

Saw a comment where someone said "If they weren't Curry's shoes yall wouldn't even want them." I wanted to start a 'conversation' with him but didn't cause I know it wouldn't go anywhere haha. I feel that way about 90% of Nike shoes. I'll take UA any day.

Foamers initial performance review video is up and it's mostly positive. Looks like the toe cap will not hold up well though, both toes of his are pretty shredded already. :frown:

Not gonna lie I used to be a slave of Nike and wouldn't dare experiment any brand outside of the swoosh. After trying out the CF Drives I've been hooked on by UA. They might not be aesthetically pleasing versus Nike but the shoes they're putting out have been performance monsters.

Being a huge fan Steph Curry's game certainly helped me to transition as I wanted to try out the CF Drives this year and after playing in them since December all I can say is them joints are straight crack. I've read some needed a break in time, but for me the shoe was butter straight out of the box. No break in time needed whatsoever. Cushioning is excellent much better than lunarlon and doesn't seem to bottom out as quickly after 3-4 sessions of hard practice and scrimmage and/or pickup. Another thing is I thought was the upper would be stiff cause it looked like cheap hyperfuse and would restrict my range of motion, but these are truly as advertised like they're a second skin or you're wearing a sock. Can't believe how pliable the upper is despite not giving off that feel/look. Traction is banana grips the court like crazy if you're playing on a pristine court. Even the Kyrie's don't offer that type of traction on a clean court.

Only complaint is my Achilles seem to ache a bit since there doesn't seem to be much support around that area/heel. But that seems to be resolved with the Curry One's since they have Achilles pillows based on Nightwing's video.

Like Deezy mention if want a performance beast like the CF Drive you're going to have to shell at least 2 bills with Nike. No bueno on that.

Can't wait to try out the Curry One's with the new Charged cushioning and Achilles pillow.

The selfish part of me wants the "Nike slaves" to stay with Nike, so I can continue to get these great performing shoes at a low price point with relative ease.

On the flip side I want UA to be successful so they can continue making great products for years to come.

I like the court feel and the fact that Micro G won't bottom out like lunarlon. If you want the low to the ground feel from Nike, the Kobe 8 & 9 are the shoes to ball in but the lunarlon won't hold up unless you have a huge rotation.

My only issue with the CF drive is the snug toebox. Do they break in like the Lebron 11 and KD 5 etc?

I have a few pairs of Drive for casual wear and a couple for playing. When I wear them casually the toes feel tight, but when I play in them, they fit perfectly. Might take a couple wears if you're not there already.

I only played in mine 1x so its still early. Good to know they will break in. Btw, which colorways do you wear casually? I thought it would be kind of hard to wear these off court. Same thing with the Curry 1s based on pics.

I'm excited about these. Price point is great, tech sounds very good, and design is smooth. UA and Curry are making some noise.

I really like competition in the industry so all the companies deliver better products to us and keep the prices down. Nike keeps pushing price hikes and so so tech improvements. Adidas is doing this somewhat too. UA, Brand Black, etc are pushing them to step up the game.

I was one of the people who originally want Curry to stay with Nike. I was excited to see him get a sig shoe with zoom cushioning since zoom is my favorite cushioning system. He's getting some great shoes and tech from UA, so it's clear he made a good choice.

yea, give them a couple more wears.

Elite 24 Lows, USA Lows, MD Pride, and USA Mid (White). Don't wear them TOO much cause there's a lot in the rotation haha, but I like the way they look. Don't wear the Mids with shorts off the court though, only Lows.

Yeah I've heard the same about some people experiencing blisters similar to the KD4 when they first tried the CF Drive. Idk I haven't gotten any blisters. I think the upper loosens up a bit after playing in them.

Btw does anyone here use Mission Court Grip? One of the courts I run pickup at is extremely dusty and I'm too lazy to wipe down the soles every time. A buddy of mine said after you apply them the sole gets even slicker negating the effects of it.

EDIT: Looking forward to the SC apparel line as well specifically the socks. Elite socks are getting ridiculously overpriced despite I know you can get them for $4-$8 at clearance stores but the colorways are limited and everyone rocks them. It's cool to have something different from the mass lol.

Saw pics of these..so I figure I would see if there was a thread about these..I'm interested in trying a new shoe..would like to use these to get back into basketball and into the gym as well..

Like the look of it..definitely remind me of the Huarache 2k4s :pimp:..one of my favorite basketball shoes ever..

I'll try for the Home colorway and the Father to Son..maybe the Away colorway..but we'll see

How does UA fit compared to Nike? Reebok? or Adidas?

Everybody's feet are different, but for me:

CF Drives and Spawns were the same as Kobe V, VI, VIII and IX.  Generally true to size for me, I haven't played in a pair where I felt sizing down was definitely necessary.

I went half down in Zoom 2K4's as I think most people did.  Stayed true for 2K5's.
