Massacre in Nigeria

Where does Boko Haram's financing come from?

Nigeria's military can't muster up the arms and forces to combat Boko Haram, yet Boko Haram has RPG's and tanks.

I think it comes from Al Kaduh.

RIP to all those people.

2000 :smh:

They're doing all this so people won't vote

1.5 million people have been displaced and won't be able to vote and anyone else that's still in Nigeria are being slaughtered.

Only know from speaking with people actually from there, but national leadership seems to be the root cause, since theyre largely incompetent and/or corrupt, so Nigerias infrastructure and govt support is limited at best, non existent at worst, leaving the people highly vulnerable to deplorable acts like this. The soldiers who fled were likely very under equipped and they're allegiance not very strong due to the above.

And then you add in the influence of extremist from the Middle East...

Damn shame what is happening

A day old thread about a massacre and its like half a page long what does that say?:smh:
Would have been close to a hundred if in us or europe

I would've hoped that this would've been a headline on any of our major news networks. 17 people died in France 4 days ago and the unity rally is the first thing I see. 2,000 die in Nigeria, and I feel like I have to dig for it. :smh: .

Obvious imbalance of representation in our media, it's disgusting and it happens everyday.

Nigeria's got a lot of work to do. It's sad though, because I honestly do feel that if there is any country in Africa that has the resources and potential to help bring Africa forward, it's Nigeria.

I've not once backed mainstream media

But to be fair, the 2000 was already stated as from a sole, unconfirmed source (since when has this stopped mass media ) and Europe, esp Western Europe, experiences situations like these Much less routinely, making a similar situation in Europe stand out in stark contrast to daily goings on.

Very sad but true fact, that Africa seems to be subject to atrocities enough that some may be "desensitized" of sort, hopefully you know what I mean, it's all relative.

Either way this type of story does make me sick, extremist taking advantage of its country's disarray and prey on the weak. Should outside help be sent in? I don't know, historically the results are likely mixed, and I'm sure there is a strong economic factor, end all be all is $$$, can't forget that.

Why aren't we desensitized to the millionth year of war in the Middle East?

******* despicable,

Almost unbelievable/ nonsensical... almost makes you want to believe that there is a hell.

First I have heard of this, I wonder why this is so quiet

RIP

Are you speaking for everyone?

I'm sure plenty are (including myself), not sure your point has substance

...or are you on your way to trying to turn it into a blacks in media thing :x if so this thread isn't for you

One of the most corrupt countries in the world :smh: they have the resources to do great things but can't get out if their own way. Doesn't help when the foreign governments meddle in all the time

RIP to the victims

Welp, there it is, because the race of the victims is the ONLY factor involved here

Despicable how race baiters use tragedies like these to serve their agendas :smh:

I hope that those who are responsible for this violence get the justice they deserve, and that this country is on its way to a better future

Well how else would you explain it, bro?

There are huge killings that go on in Africa.. Stuff that can be handled but instead, we want to harp on kony and his decade old involvement...

I think its all a plan to get to them resources over there...

Without European influence all in Africa that continent would would flourish as a whole. Europe wouldn't be **** without africa

Most of the civil wars in Africa can trace back to Europe

There we go, Africans can do no wrong, Europeans can do no right.

But this comment will flourish

NT gon' NT, I'm out

I'm legit asking man.

I seriously think that of we had any involvement with their resources... It should be MAJOR coverage...

A la middle east.

The continent of Europe is lacking in resources. They took advantage of their weapons as a means to take control over countries in Africa. It is what it is

but I'm saying the reason the US isn't covering it is because we really don't have any need for their resources just yet...

So no resources, no care.

So no interest in resources means black lives don't matter?

I'm interested to see how the economic factor is connected to the race of the victims. Seriously, your perspective would be nice to know.

And I'll leave this here, folks may have missed it
end all be all is $$$, can't forget that.

Whenever I say I'm out I always feel compelled to come back
