Hello NT, I'm hoping those of you with dogs can sympathize with my issue.
So I live in New York, and recently bought my first apartment over the summer. Now my girlfriend has moved in and we want to add a puppy to our family.
Well, we found our Corgi and he's going to come from Kansas in a month. He's the cutest little tri color Pembroke Welsh Corgi and I can't stare at his pictures for more than a few seconds without melting.

So here is our issue.
I have picked the name Rocket for him. I think it fits him since Corgi's are fast, love to run and play and jet around. And then if down the line he gets a bit chunky and lazy, then the name becomes ironic!
So my girlfriend doesn't like the name, she prefers Rocky along with a few others, but says if I name him Rocket, she will only call him Rocky. =[
Other names we have talked about are Rocky, Dodger, Gambit, Jameo (pronounced Jay-mo).
This has been a tough process as finding a name we both are 100% on board with hasn't been easy.
Any suggestions on names? Does any of the names I mentioned scream at you when you look at his (adorable) face?
Any other fun, not so typical, non human names you guys can suggest for him?

EDIT: We have settled on Rocket and Rocky as his nickhame.
