problem with AB is that he acts like he is paid like Floyd...I was shocked to see his net worth is 3M
 
Probably the biggest mistake Broner ever made for several reasons. He tried to somewhat make up for it by apologizing but it's too late for that.

I don't see huge backlash here.

Roc Nation isn't some huge sports agency that can make or break careers. CAA is the one that's on the rise.

Broner clowned around and got disrespectful. Somebody reached out to him (someone he most likely respects or possibly his own business partners) and he apologized publicly.

Doubt this affects his next fight or his money moving forward unless yall want to speculate about consequences and repercussions that we'll never know about or will just be rumored.

Broner APOLOGIZED quickly and fast for a reason....quickly and fast champ. He and hopefully some of the Broner supporters in here learned a valuable lesson from his mistakes...."never say **** something if you don't mean it".

In life sometimes there are people or entities you just don't go up against. Adrien Broner had to learn that lesson the hard way this time unfortunately.

I've seen people say he's worth 3,4, and 5M in this thread.

Where the hell ya'll getting these numbers?

If Money bringing in 50M+ per bout, I'd like to think Broner can pull atleast 5-10M a bout.

I think he just recently set a Showtime record for viewership.

and that viewership (1.3 million viewers for Maidana vs Broner) was what it was because that fight wasn't a SHOPPV. It was originally scheduled to be a PPV, but it wasn't.


You can look up his purse numbers, it's all available. Again he's never made anything close to 5-10M in a fight.


IDK why people insist on going against the grain and arguing against the bold faced truth.


Guy is not anywhere near the draw Mayweather is, nor is he in the neighborhood skill-wise. He is what boxing purists call a B-level fighter.

Let's just say dude jumped to welterweight and fought a pillow-handed Malignaggi and if not for his superior hand-speed Paulie may have been able to outbox him.


He has since dropped to light welter after realizing he'd get scraped by pretty much any highly ranked welterweight.


He'll get scraped by Matthysse, Garcia, Vargas or Peterson (top light-welters) if he wants it with any one of them as well.

Mattysse would lose to Broner, Mattysse and Maidana are two different styles, Garcia is like Broner, counter-act, slow pace, pot-shot, bad footwork. I would say Broner is better than DSG, but DSG is a 160lb man in a division 20pounds below him, while Broner is a natural 150lber, who was made to fight a naturally bigger guy like Maidana who walks around 170. Garcia would win against Broner, because DSG is the naturally bigger guy, at 147 or 140, even though Broner is better than him, simply because his power would not translate, like most of Paulie's recent opposition where known for pillow-hands his opponents walk through him because of this


Jessie Vargas isnt good, he recently switched to RJJr and you see problems in his style, eventho RJJr is helping him correct it..he fought Demarco recently and lost a couple of rounds, while Broner KO'd him early

Your entitled to your opinion bro but I believe Matthysse would bully Broner. Broner can't sit in the pocket and pop shot guy a guy like Matthysse when he's too busy backpedaling on the balls of his feet trying not to get his head knocked off. It's a foregone conclusion to say that they possess different styles. :lol:


Garcia would obviously destroy him, like I said.


As far as Vargas, I thought he looked good against DeMarco. He obviously needs to step up in competition but I wouldn't say he "isn't very good". Also you can't compare two fighters by how they fought the same opponent. That's a cardinal rule in boxing analysis.

And while Peterson hasn't fought a big name opponent since losing to Maidana, I still believe that he'd handily defeat Broner.


Oh and just for ***** and giggles, Provodnikov would eat Broner's food as well.


But hey, like I said, you're entitled to your opinion bro. And for the record, I had Paulie winning by a round.

broner aint an elite fighter at the end of the day. his antics are fun but hes not ready for Garcia or matthysse
 
Maybe, but it's pro boxing. You don't need to be elite to be on top and sometimes the best guys don't get any draw because they can't sell a ticket

Is it life and death? Maybe not, but since when does this peon think he can talk like that to someone who just offered him 40 million? That isn't peanuts. And Roc Nation is cutting a name for itself.
