the Pet Peeve thread

It infuriates me when I'm forced to be a broken record a.k.a. having to repeat myself more than 2 times.

At work (Help Desk Analyst):

Helping customer over the phone

Customer: What should I do next?

Me: you'll need to click on the start button and select restart

Cust.: So click on restart?

Me: Yes

Cust: You sure you want me to click on restart?

Me: Yes, I'll need for you to click on restart

Cust: Are you really sure about that?

Me:

 Yes I'm Sure

Outside of work:

Relative: Make sure you get <item> while you're out.

Me: Ok

Few minutes later

Relative: I want to make sure you get the <item>

Me: I know

Relative: I just don't want you to forget about the......

Me: I heard you the first time and it's also on the list. you don't need to remind me or ask me about again.

When you have a conversation with someone and share your point of view, and at a later time witness that same person sharing your point of view in a similar conversation like it's their own...

I know it shouldn't bother me, but It's just like nails on a chalkboard having to sit there and listen to it out loud

So how many of you who've never known about the escalator etiquette have been in my way before?!?! Jerks!

But seriously, can't believe how many of you don't know about that. It's like driving...you're supposed to pass on the left.

Anyway, I can't stand when you're in a meeting/lecture/etc., and people are crinkling a bag of something, snacking away. I want to punch those people.

At work when people use the elevator to only go down 1 floor when i'm trying to go down like 20 floors to get to the lobby. Use the stairwell you lazy F!

People asking questions then requestioning your response

I do this occasionally when I'm forced to make conversation and don't actually give a **** about what we're talking about

This is annoying, but I'm pretty sure this only happens after you try to ask someone to do something once, have them act like they got it, only for them tk not remember to do what you asked them to. Better safe than sorry my ___

Trying to merge onto the freeway but people:
Ride along like they don't know what that lane is for.
Speed up so you can't get over.

That's true. It's just that people that know me know that I'm not forgetful like that

I know that feel. Sometimes I just merge over anyway and force them to make room for me.

When I reach for a handshake and the person grabs my fingers and not the hand so that it seems like I'm the one giving a weak handshake

People who litter. Especially the ones who throw that **** out of the window when they're driving smh

It irks me when people can't admit that they ****ed up, and instead get all defensive like some lames.

I also get annoyed when I see people use the word 'need' loosely.

Adults using mad emojis is lame too.

When people don't reset the microwave back to the clock after taking their food out early. :smh:
