A 3-year-old boy is in critical condition today after his mom's boyfriend beat him over a piece of cheesecake.

Anthony Gulledge, 30, has been arrested by Memphis, Tennessee police and charged with aggravated child abuse, neglect and domestic assault.

According to the boy's mother, Gulledge came home Saturday night and found the cheesecake missing from the refrigerator.

He proceeded to drag the boy out of his bedroom by the ankles and whip him until the toddler broke a femur bone in his leg and dislocated vertebrae.

The mother says Gulledge beat her boy twice that night, and that she called police to report him the next day.

There were bruises all over the boy's body when he was admitted to LeBonheur Children's Hospital on Sunday.

Gulledge denies beating the child.

He remains held in Shelby County Jail on $210,000 bond while the boy continues to recover at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.

He remains in critical condition.

Damn sometimes dudes just don't know their own strength when it comes to disciplining by physical means. Kids at that age are so fragile so it's better to not even spank if you can't discipline with control.

Hope the kids gets better. |I

take that dude out back and out him to sleep with Walmart rifle. No need to waste any jail money on him

Arent enough bad things that could happen to this punk :smh:

ANYONE who willfully hurts another defenseless person is a lemon of a human. :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh:

The kid's 3. Any 'disciplining' will probably never be remembered. That and beating kids is animalistic.

Any? So setting up consistent rules to discipline a 3 year old child for behavior that's too aggressive, inappropriate or dangerous won't be remember? Kids at that age know right from wrong, cause and consequences, and can retained that information.

Yeah they'll remember getting beat but won't remember why.

So I guess I'm the only one questioning BOTH parents in this situation ....

Gulledge came home Friday night saw the cheesecake was gone, beat the boy

THE NEXT DAY the mother called the police etc ..

Boyfriend came home from work that night ..
Mother called cops next day ..

Who the hell was looking after the kid on Friday!!!? There was no mention of a baby sitter

I sure hope that child was not home alone :smh:

Any good mother would have called the police that same night.

Yeah they'll remember getting beat but won't remember why.

If a 3 year old kid punches her baby sister and the 3 year gets spanked or disciplined and EXPLAINED why they got spanked, wouldn't that 3 year old understand the consequences for his aggression? Kids at that age understand their actions. The issue for toddlers is that they have very little self control and lack rational thinking.

Am i the only one who wants to know what brand the cheesecake was?

No justification at all for beating a child for something as insignificant as cheesecake.

People have no regard for their children when choosing mates it seems.

:smh:

Hate scumbag parents like this...at least he didn't throw his child off a bridge like the guy in Florida

Anybody that harms people/animals that are defenseless are pieces of ****. Truly the only thing that really boils my blood. Hope the young kid recovers.
