Just copped round trip tickets for me and my girl to go to NO for 27 bucks from Atlanta, I've always heard about it but sheesh!

any tips about making the best of the ride? Im setting my expectations low of course. I was thinking of just bringing a duffle or maybe a backpack, its a 3 day trip so dont need much.

Can't remember if it was Mega or Bolt, but I've used it a couple of times going from NY/DC and vice versa. No complaints. WiFi can be spotty, but for the price, you can't beat it.

Now...on the other hand, I did take the Fung Wah once (back in the day). NEVER. AGAIN. Sketchy, doesn't even describe it. I was just happy to make it to NYC in one piece. Came close to kissing the ground once we arrived, but I didn't want to end up in the ER.

I usually only messed with Coach USA and Greyhound. I went to school upstate NY and would travel back to NYC every holiday so I used that bus maybe 15 times in 2 years. 4 hr trip, got work done but I usually slept through the whole ride

I see some great deals and I think its a great way to travel if you can endure being on a bus and the travel time.

Read the reviews first for the specific bus line and try to make the most of it. It's nice that your girl doesn't mind taking the bus. Got some girls can only do planes especially if it's a neighboring city.

if you're in the west coast

bolt bus>

I`m in ATL so all we have that do the Cheap Trips is Megabus and the "China Buses". This is going to be a 9hr trip only stop will be in Alabama, so it wount be bad, you guys think a Back Pack would be good or a duffle bag? Don't want to mess with checking anything in, but I dont know how spacious the seating is, I "upgraded" to the front balcony seats because it said those are more spacious.

I regularly used Megabus from Orlando to Atlanta. It really saves money. My only issue is the bus is it's very cold. I'm close to 6 ft 2 and my legs are pretty scrunched up during the ride.

took the mega bus to buffalo once for a jawn i use to date, pretty comfy for a bus but the wifi was horrible if they had a stronger wifi symbol it would be legit

I got Tmobile so I know its going to be useless most of the ride lol, I`m probably going to re up my Verizon prepaid and use that, or just toss some movies and podcast on my iPhone.

Took the MegaBus a few times from New York to DC a couple of times and never really had any issues. I didn't find the seats to be very comfortable, so I couldn't really imagine sitting on it for 9 hours, but you really can't beat their prices. I think I paid $26 round trip. Had no issues with the WiFi either which was a plus.

both trips are going to be red eye, so I would hope they aren't jam pack.

bruh, for real..It's a bus, they don't make you 'check' anything.  You can throw a duffle under the bus and bring a backpack on with you if you please.

I've gotten so many trips from Toronto to NYC for $3 round trip, can't complain at that price. Sure the service sucks and the wifi doesnt work all the time but im paying loose change

You know what?

I dread flying, and hate driving for hours at a time.

I've never thought about the bus.

Yup... 15 from nyc to boston... just eat b4 u get on the bus and grab a book so u can fall asleep fast..

Low budget buses are THE worst. MegaBus I have no experience with. But I took a SkyHorse before to New York. Thank God we made it. :smh: :x

you could try the train as well but bus is usually cheaper
I work for the railroad.

It takes freight trains like 6 hrs to go 100 miles
