^I don't think it's high beams so much as the power or type of the new headlight is overall brighter.
Think LED vs. traditional incandescent flashlights. LED seems brighter but its overall effectiveness is minimally better. But it has a brighter effect, if that makes sense. I think Xenon is the worst. I hate those drivers. That road glare is REAL. Viewing angles and distance seems to vary too.

Those actually reach my side mirrors from hella far. No matter far the car is on the freeway, they always seem like they're behind me.

Very good ideas on advancing lighting especially the expanded range of visibility and the smart lighting that diverts light away from other drivers.

nah man, they're actual high beams. People are driving around with their high beams on as if it were normal. When I started driving 4 years ago it sure as hell wasn't this bad.
