All educational, let's not turn this into a race thread. I was talking to my old head the other day and he was telling me how things use to be in the 70s and early 80s. He's fought in the Vietnam War. So he was dropping some jewels and I did some research on things that I already knew but didn't know the details of.

The government allowed the import of cocaine into the United States. During the 70s and 80s, cocaine was widely used and no authorities cared. It wasn't until cats in the hood started cooking and profiting when the government decided that cocaine had to be done off.

Now I don't know a lot on the subject, but I wanna learn more. So my NT brederen, shed light if you got light that need be shed

It happen under Regan he wanted to support the contras in the war in Nicaragua but the congress voted against funding the contras, so Regan allowed with the help of the CIA for the Contras to sell drugs to our citizen in order to fund that war

The CIA was aware of the cocaine transactions and the large shipments of drugs into the U.S. by the Contra personnel and directly aided drug dealers to raise money for the Contras.[citation needed] Although he strongly implied CIA involvement, Webb never claimed to have made a direct link between the CIA and the Contras.[citation needed] Moreover, Webb's articles were heavily attacked by many media outlets who questioned the validity of his claims, although the unusual response led some to question if the CIA was involved.[citation needed] Webb turned the articles into a book called, Dark Alliance: The CIA, the Contras, and the Crack Cocaine Explosion." On December 10, 2004, Webb reportedly committed suicide, albeit under strange circumstances (two gunshot wounds to the head).[7]

In 1996, CIA Director John M. Deutch went to Los Angeles to attempt to refute the allegations raised by the Webb articles, and was famously confronted by former Los Angeles Police Department officer Michael Ruppert, who testified that he had witnessed it occurring.[8]

It has already come to light that the government allowed the Sinola Cartel and other major South American crime organizations to traffic in the US in exchange for information on other cartel leaders.

Its not hooking up as much as turning a blind eye.
