Any Writers on NT?

Family, I've got a few book ideas that I want to start on and I wanted to see if we had any writers here on NT. Whether you write novels, short stories, or poems I'm interested in seeing what we he on this board. Any tips you guys could share or words of wisdom would be helpful. How you got started, how you got published, your motivation. Anything would be helpful. Hopefully this thread can be inspiring for anyone interested in writign or creating.

If you want to make it as a writer, it's not enough for you to be grammatically perfect. You need to have a voice.

Don't write to impress, which means you don't need to use fancy words and long sentences to get your thoughts across. Write from your heart AND from your soul.

There are plenty of writers on NT.

I'm in the process of writing a 450 page (at least) novel. I've got 200 pages down and I'm taking a break in order to reexamine my craft and get my ideas in order.

I also work for a Pulitzer Prize-winning news organization. What I'm learning is that journalistic writing is a great exercise for those who wish to strengthen their writing skills in general.

Myself and JohnnyRedStorm are two dudes I know off the top of the head that are serious about writing, but there are plenty more

Cosign about what dude above said regarding fancy words and ****. The less flowery and complicated, the better. Vocabulary does not a good writer make
