I also grabbed the Harlots from Barneys today. I like the fit of my white cropped JE denim more, but I certainly do like these. My only complaint is that the leg opening is about 0.25" too narrow.

I also own a ton of high-end denim and rank these at or near the top, and certainly ahead of Saint Laurent which was previously my go-to denim.
 
i plan on grabbing a pair of the plumas at some point

i own no high end denim, but i love my cast coasts :lol:

What is your preferred leg opening and how do the white cropped denim fit differently?

I prefer my leg opening to be 5.75 to 6 inches.  Anywhere in that range and I'm happy but the denim has to have some elastane for me to go anywhere below 6 inches or my foot won't get through.

I have yet to see the Plumas in person.  Are they much different than the springs to warrant owning both pairs?

After finally picking up these 2 pairs I'm all in on JE denim.

The Harlot denim is perfect and no alterations are needed. 
The Spring isn't quite as tapered as the leg opening is .25 inches wider (laying flat) both are the same size.  The Spring also isn't as stretchy as the Harlot denim.  

For anyone on the fence about JE's denim I highly recommend it as it is on par with the best denim I own and I have had all the usual suspects (SLP, Acne, APC, Fear of God, Amiri).

man, i think the Springs are very stretchy. Maybe too stretchy. I almost sized up when i first purchased because i thought they were tight. Now i wish i went down a size. Both of my pairs have stretched.

I also have the Harlot. Both stretch about the same.

much different. Plumas are darker. They look like very dirty springs, but in a good way. I will try and take pics in the morning when the sun comes out to show a comparison.

Wonder how the rider is going to turn out. Anyone know how the leather on the En Noir jacket a few years ago was?
 
yeah i was seeing the pictures over on SF. these pieces dont look good

also, JE looks super annoyed he had to take that picture :lol:
