**Going to San Francisco For the first time today**

^ Didn't really enjoy working in SF...Thought it would take some time to get used to, but I just never got used it. Maybe my next job I'll be better prepared.

HRD Cafe got some good good if you're still there tomorrow. There's also a whole bunch of ramen places all over. Men Oh Tokushima on Geary is pretty good.

I live near SF but have never been to most of these spots you guys are suggesting. :smh:

I need to go to SF more often sheesh

grew up here and totally agree. last 5 yrs or so, sf really turned into a "douche" city

Due to the emergence to transplants and "self-entitled techies" that make some parts of the city annoying to visit
Not to thread jack, but I LOVE to put these people in their place on the regular . I just don't understand how some people can come out here and act like they can do whatever they want and that it's all good, when it's not.

Bakers beach is so dope. Take an uber there. Take a pack of beer with you and just chill.

Tommy's joynt is an amazing local spot. $5 mixed drinks with the most amazing roast I've ever had in my life. expect a long line that moves fast.

Bro though....I am no real native cause I am from the East Bay but the people that are here before all this mess need to show these transplants what's up. We have to keep living here whether it be from rent control or whatever to show we are the ones making this city pure in our own corny way. I hate how this city is turning too but I hate how people are just leaving without a fight.

For me it's House of Prime Rib every time I have a chance to visit home

Its crazy right? locals just getting priced out.
Me and my lady were thinking of switching spots not that long ago, but damn, prices have skyrocketed in the past few years.

Yeah I totally agree. It's the folks coming from outside the Bay Area that have no idea about the culture of the city. That video a few months ago of the Dropbox employees trying reserve the soccer field is a perfect example.

But you gotta say, if you don't have the money, it's really tough to fight to stay. It's all a sad situation, nonetheless.

Don't get a car unless you're trying to hit up other spots throughout the Bay Area. It's gonna be stressful to drive through city traffic and then look for parking. I live here and I RARELY drive anywhere.

Just book a hotel near BART/Muni stops and you'll be good.

I wouldn't rent a car unless you plan on going to Napa or some other nicer spots outside the City.

Otherwise - Uber or Lyft are heavily utilized

Yea there's so many Ubers out here. Makes getting around the city easy, but it can get expensive during peak hours when they charge 2-3x the normal rate

Still probably cheaper than renting a car and paying for hotel parking.

I don't think Dolores Park and Twin Peaks have been mentioned yet.

Herbivore is a really great restaurant if you are into vegan food.
