Purchased these for $415 on eBay from a top-rated seller of >6500 sales. Got them 6 months ago for my 14 year old son, he tried them on, they looked new, so we stored them as a collectible they were never worn. They were the first in a line of 6 rare Air Jordan's we now have. Got them out after Xmas to sell on eBay and noticed the shoe tag and box #'s didn't match when I was taking pics. eBay and PayPal wouldn't do anything b/c of the timing. A month later of agony and I'm taking the eBay seller to small claims court. Funny thing, the court house is under a mile down the street from Nike H/Q here in Beaverton, Oregon. Any specifics you can provide to help me prove these are counterfeit would be appreciated. This is what I've noticed so far.

- Box style# 136027 011 doesn't match the shoe tag# 309387 011

- Box and Label: seems completely wrong for 2000 metallic 5's

- Tongue: the lines under the jump man are smooth w/ no quality and cushion. Tongue seems too low and rubbery.

- Tongue: the jump man is small, shows fingers one hand and the other shoe shoes club hand, top part touches stitching

- Side uppers: when you pinch them they feel like cardboard and rebound back into place

- Suede: not smooth like my 4 OG's (bought after the 5's, ugh) and feel like cardboard

- Sole: jump man is red and I believe all 136027 001 metallic 2000's should be black

- Inside: should say Nike, but these have nothing

I believe this are fake tongue choppy and Nike sign logo looks wrong Also that not the right box get ur money this r fakes

Sorry man but these are a pair of $40 dollar flea market fakes.. Lol. Everything is wrong here. The box is completly incorrect, shape of the shoe is horrible, tongue is jagged and not detailed, materials are garbage, tag inside the shoe is the wrong font and layout etc.

I think you are right about it being too long for paypal to help you, their pretection policy only lasts 3 months if im not mistaken. Small claims court is probably your best bet.

Also, you might want to post a legit check on any other jordans youve bought recently to make sure that you dont have any more fakes in your collection. Best of luck to you, i hope you are able to get your money back

My other dilemma for court is proving these were the one's he sold me back in July 2014 b/c I have to think that will be his only defense. I have my 14 year old, but they may not let minors testify. My wife signed for them, but she doesn't know details and likely can't pick them out of the six we have currently. I have the item listing where the seller said he guarantees 100% authenticity or money back, but eBay couldn't get me the pics from listing. I even asked for a pic of tag back then, but only looked at the manufacturer date, not the style#. Didn't know what to look for b/c didn't know how big this fake market was. Any ideas on proving these are the one's from July?

Really appreciate it folks. My small claims court date is mid-February to get the $433.15 + court fees back. This dude on eBay is a top-rated seller of over 6500 sales. If anyone wants his username, please email me at jamie0369@gmail.com. He did this to a lady on July 28th, 2014 as well on a pair of Nike Air Max shoes. He now has two eBay reports against him, so hopefully something will happen.

Sorry to sound like a total *** here but sometimes you just gotta suck it up..These are pretty bad fakes and It would seem you would definitely known this IF you would have done some type of HW on them BEFORE or at least after you bought them right? 3 months is a long time....This also would have let you know that 00' 5s are not that "rare" and DS they go for a little over $300-$350..So you also overpaid in this case. Now you wanna take someone to court because YOU made a bad decision?.. How are you gonna prove He/She intentionally sold you fakes? What if he didn't know either? Sometimes lessons are learned the hard way, if this one costs you $400 you will make sure you look in the future FIRST next time. If you get your $ back you have really learned nothing except when you make a dumb decision some old guy/lady in a robe is there to bail you out of it.

I don't expect you to know about shoes or even be able to tell a real shoe from a fake shoe..However I do expect you to be accountable for your $..If I'm buying anything for over $100, you better believe I'm gonna know what it's supposed to look like.. Again sorry to sound rude but this is how I see it..We have all been burned before..It's just the way it goes...

Thank you. Sometimes a person needs to hear this, but trust me I've heard it from my wife. Now, on the other hand, you, or anyone on this site, whether they've been sold good fakes or bad (like these) isn't going sit down and let someone on eBay sell fakes. It's just not right and you have no idea the feeling I had on December 27th, 2014 when I saw the box and shoe tags, then realized. These were for my 14 year old son, they looked new, he tried them on, once, I didn't know what to look for, , then they went on the shelf for 6 months. I had no idea fakes were such a big market that I had to be so careful.

Again, not making excuses, but I just don't agree w/ your statement, "Now you wanna take someone to court because YOU made a bad decision". You can't be serious that an eBay member like this should get away w/ this type of behavior.

I agree, I don't have half the eye for lc as most of the guys in here but i have a descent knowledge. Any sneaker i buy from almost anywhere(not including nike retailers) I will post on here. In addition i bring them to two different consignment shops close to my house to get their opinions. Before any of that i watch videos on what i am going to spend money on. I am sorry you got burned but you really got to look out for you. People want these shoes so that brings the shadyness. In the future at least post up here before you buy.

I agree w/ your statements on watching out, and I will in the future, but I didn't. What I posted in response...is arguing the fact that I should let it go when there is a legit avenue to make someone pay for bad behavior. You both agree this top rated seller on eBay should get away w/ this, c'mon man!!!

BTW, if you were this kids mom (like me) and he's begging you to get these, then finally he gets them. The last thing I looked for was to tear him down by looking to see if they were fake. Didn't cross my mind, but now it does.

I'm not saying he should get "away" with anything..Are you certain he knew he was selling you fakes? Now you want to make him pay your refund + both sides court costs. Both of you losing days of work and not to mention tying up a court system that's already filled to the gills with BS lawsuits day after day burning them tax dollars...All for what? So your son feels better? Or so you do? I think you should be 100% certain this seller was indeed trying to scam you for the route you are trying to go.. It's just as plausible both of you got "scammed" right? So literally all he did was over charge you on what he thought to be legit merchandise...Technically that's not a crime.. I simply feel You didn't do your HW..then You let 3 months go by(Your buyer protection span). Now you want justice.. I just feel it's too little too late..Yes it sucks, but it is what it is...

Take the opportunity to teach him about people less fortunate maybe, and giving without expecting something in return..Allow him to donate this pair to some kid in school less fortunate than himself who will enjoy them(fill him in of course)..Let your son do hrs of HW on Legit vs fake 00' AJ5s, then let him buy a legit pair with the knowledge he has recently acquired and taste that flavor of FINALLY getting the real deal! He will probably sleep in them after all of the trouble but it's worth it!

IDK just my 2¢... I've had the same thing happen to me in my early days collecting and it's made me more diligent at making sure I spend my $ wisely..

In closing I do hope things work out for you guys one way or the other..Just take note now the Fakes out there are MUCH better than these older pairs you have.. The internet is literally infested with them..Be careful out there in the future..Always LC here before you pay to be safe..

A few more questions:

- Can you provide websites that sell this type of metallic shoe that resembles shoe tag# 309387 011? Saw a YouTube video that had fake 309378 011 from kicksfort.com, but it's been shutdown.

- The title on the box (A JRDN 5 RETRO+ 3/4 HI MEN (Black) doesn't lead to anything on the Internet that resembles Air Jordan 5's.

- What shoe code is 136027 011 related to?

- The box, which Air Jordan 5's would have come w/ this box?

Thanks

Hey, thanks. This really helps. Any other fake websites like this you can pass along? I'm looking for the same shoe, but red jump man bottom.

that is the same shoe..The fakes you have are older...They have been "upgraded" if you will since your run...The pair you have are no longer produced..Same box same fake kicks, you should be fine with the evidence I've supplied.

Gotcha, so, the main difference in my older (Sh*T&y) one's is the red jump man on the sole. The box (outer one) is slightly different too, mine only shows a big swoosh, then a small jump man on the other side. Really appreciate the reply. I know as time passes I will get over this, but I am so obsessed about this right now.

To the kicksfort.com YouTube video reply. Thank you. I've got that one.

The eBay user to the point of the comment above that I was arguing about small claims court likely did not know what he had. Probably passing something through and when there became 21 bidders and the price went up over $400 he was as surprised as anyone. To that point, he had never sold anything over $100. Doesn't ease my pain, but I just think it's fair to be honest about things for others in this community.

I have some 2000 Retro Air Jordan 5s as well and I was wondering if these were fake or not the only thing that is throwing me off is the air bubble. Everything else seems to be in order

Pair above are 100% Legit bro..Also reps for the nicely taken images.

Also if you don't already know..I would advise against wearing these..They are DS and probably won't hold up through the break in period.. It's a 50/50 at this point honestly.

that looks like they painted the air bubble or something. u should try to get a qtip and hit it with some acetone and go over the air bubble. hopes this helps

^^ no.. the air unit is fogged from the inside. A hair dryer may clear them possibly..

Thank you timmybrixxx. I greatly appreciate it! I was just unsure because of the air bubble, I never seen them like that before. But yeah the seller told me that these are not wearable, so I was gonna look into sole swapping them. Again I greatly appreciate the LC

Yeah those Air units are just really fogged up. Like Timmy said a hair dryer will "de-fog" them, but when they're that bad, they're only gonna fog right back up within a few weeks... best to just leave them, or get them sole swapped.

I would also advise against a sole swap..It will cost more than the pair is gonna be worth in the end and probably will look bad as well. Unless you swap with another 99' which would not make sense .It's your call in the end of course but I never advise on a swap especially on a DS pair..Just collect them. Or buy a different release or a NDS pair if you want to wear them.
