Anybody here watch 848?  None of these other hood youtube shows are the same as money and violence

I do. Story not nearly as good but of all the YouTube hood series it's the second best. Lots of action. To me it's like Killa season the series.

I would definitely support their album/mixtape if they dropped one for the show. They need to do something quick.

I wonder why every youtube hood series is NYC based.  They need to have some for other regions

Because NYC is the only city that matters. No one wants to see a series based on LA
LA> NYC being off the fact that LA has 2 of the holy trinity and you guys only have Ninjahood.  Goldenarmz and HBW together> Ninjahood

Correct. The ones that's closest to generating solid revenue is Money and Violence IF they play their cards right.

Didnt they turn down HBO? This next stuff they are about to drop better be good and huge or they missed a chance in a lifetime turning down HBO.

Even if they were gonna switch out actors who couldnt really act I would of took that asap.

So have they reached their total for the donations thing? I don't remember the link to it. Could that be why it's taking them so long to get the 2nd season out?

I don't know if it was HBO, but they made a claim that a major was after them (but I took it with about as much salt as when Cubana Lust said Hollywood producers were calling her for roles). But realistically, I remember the dude who plays Rafe saying in an interview his fear with signing a major deal would be that he loses complete control, and once the vision is gone, it will no longer be Money & Violence. Which I get and respect...

I think part of the charm was that the actors couldn't act

I fully agree with this.

Yeah I def respect him and respect that as well. At the same time im really surprised no big investors or anything have reached out to help them put money together for season 2 or maybe Rafe and them have been turning em down.

What you guys said about the charm about a lot of the people not being able to act is  and true.

For my cats looking to fill that void

Peep "Respect Life"

Just started watching today and can't front I'm hooked
Also check out the movie "Sex, Money, You Already Know". It's a pretty good hood movie based on Bloods in New Jersey.

watched 848 season 1 finale, can't believe i actually watched the whole season.  Idk, they just don't have the writing like Money & Violence and they don't have the interesting characters like a Leon or Tai.  All the main characters are just supposed to be super gangster etc.
