"Potentially Historic" Blizzard To Hit NY Tonight Through Tuesday Night

2 to 3 feet of snow where I stay. Kids got no school and no work for me tomorrow. I like snow days :D
As long as I don't lose power.
CO-SIGN!!! As long as I don't lose power, I see it as a bonus. It's an extra day to spend time with the family for me. Be safe everyone!!!

been pretty light in queens so far, nothing i've never seen or "historic" at all...hopefully it stays that way

This happens all over the world.. Only NYC would make light that it is an extremely big deal. From shoes, to shootings, to random food news, it is ALL about them. Great justification of the extreme cost of living.

IG is full of jokes right now full of NYCers hoping for some views/sympathy

You make it seem like NYC is so self-centered. Why wouldn't people be focused on their own area / city?

Son comes into a thread about a NYC blizzard to talk bout how NYers are self centered for talking about a blizzard in their area

Wouldn't mind the day off from work, but if I have to go in, it won't be a full day anyway.

Brooklyn is doing fine so far.

I am running Continental Extreme Winter Contacts this year, winter has been **** but actually so far prefer them over Blizzaks. Better dry road performance and quieter. Also got through over a foot of snow super easy

This kid really bragging bout a glorified impreza?

Subies are dope. What you get for your money is well worth it, especially in the '15 model.

Practicality is :smokin

Regardless, a car isn't something to ever brag about.

Praying for my ny Nters stay warm while holding that L

I'll wear shorts and a tank for yall in Cali

Da hemi has rwd. I'm thinking about leaving it parked and taking the bus to work... Lol.

I've got a 2015 AWD turbo performance car with torque vectoring technology and limited slip differentials.
I think I'll be good.

My night classes are cancelled, possibly tomorrow as well too. More time to complete assignments :smokin

It actually snowed kind of hard this past Saturday in jersey as well. I'm assuming it's going to come down much harder now.

It's good for not getting stuck in the snow but you will still slide like any other car

False sense of security

AWD helps the vehicle accelerate in slippery conditions, but don't aid with braking and only sometimes improve handling. T

Yea, which is why I didn't bother answering the guy.

I make a post and it's either "bragging" or "flexing" or whatever, when what I say is simply the truth. I mentioned a car which is good in snow, in a thread about a dangerous blizzard approaching.

Whatever. :smh:

Yeah man, like I said earlier, the pettiness is comedy at times on NT.

People will just miscommunicate and be all up on each other.

Someone needs to be the bigger man and walk away.

Your bragging is comical. The STI is still useless just like most cars in the snow without dedicated winter tires. Get back to me when you total it because you got overconfident and thought the factory tires would give you good traction in the snow

First thing first, my Evo X with WS80 > all :smokin

But anyway, snow days are always appreciated as that's when I can marathon tv shows. I plan on starting Breaking Bad tomorrow.

My 2006 impala with 155k on that dash wouldn't stand a chance in that snow...

Wouldn't trade it for the world, though.

:pimp:

My impala >>>> every car in the world, b..

Yo NYC fam, get on these snow day yambs before they are all taken http://newyork.craigslist.org/search/ppp?query=snow&sort=rel
As we sit on the brink of a major snowstorm and prepare for a nearly shut-down NYC, I'm seeking a single 20- or 30-something female who shares my excitement for snow days and wants to create the semi-romantic, mildly productive yet equally fun adult version. I'm talking endless movies, cookies, whiskey and red wine, occasional work on a strictly as-needed basis, potential igloo-making in a private garden and making out.
