Once upon a time, I used to want everybody in one house, but I kinda like the way the MCU is shaping up on its own

Rather have the FF franchise, more than anything, for its villains

Give me the REAL Rouge dammit!
Rouge has got to be the worst film adaptation of a comic book character ever. BY FAR

Paquin said she'd be open to returning as Rogue if they make her fly so if you see her on set then we might just see the real Rogue.

I would have to agree. No accent. Didn't fly. No super strength.

80s soundtrack please or something like drive
post #343 of 7080
It literally looks like Nightcrawler teleported his way on to MJ's Thriller video set and stole his jacket laugh.gifeyes.gif

Also going off some of the replies in here seems ppl just want the characters to look like they hopped out the comics or cartoon. Forget the story and history of the ppl running the X-Men thus far.

Doubt it. She'll just be older than them. Aint nothing wrong with that. Jubilee should be like 7 but she's the same age as them.

#RUMOR I'm being told that X-MEN: APOCALYPSE & WOLVERINE 3 will mark the end of the Bryan Singer X-MEN universe he started back in 2000. Makes sense since Hugh Jackman also said Wolverine 3 will be his last film playing Logan. The end of an era. #XMEN #APOCALYPSE #Wolverine #bryansinger #HughJackman

Not sure what it means for the franchise. It could mean a reboot or soft reboot (where no more origins and they pick up the team in the present time to conincide with F4 and Deadpool films(?) along with the upcoming XFactor. Or as most have been begging for, a return to Marvel (yah probably opening a can of worms there laugh.gif ).
Good riddance if true.

Now to get somebody that actually will have a plan to form a shared universe between the X-Men and F4 (even though I'm not that hyped for that movie). I feel the dichotomy of the F4 being super powered famous and accepted heroes will reflect well off of mutants and the X-Men being hated and feared.

I wonder if singer dares to make Psylocke one of Apocolypses 4 horsemen. Mann can't act at all so giving her a large role would be dumb.

Do we know of Channing tatums gambit is a present day or past 1. He could be one

Tatum kind of slightly hinted he isn't going to be in this film. He said he doesn't want Gambit to appear without his story being fleshed out but it could all change if they force him to be on the film.
If he didn't want to be in this movie, what movie would he be in? A solo film? The crossover movie with f4?

Yah he is set to star in a solo Gambit film, it's exactly what he signed up for, it come sout about 5 months after Apocalypse next year.

Fantastic Four opens August 7, 2015, Deadpool on February 12, 2016, X-Men: Apocalypse on May 27, 2016, Gambit is coming Oct 7, 2016, The Wolverine 3 (not the official title) on March 3, 2017, Fantastic Four 2 on June 2, 2017
post #348 of 7080
Do people even want a gambit solo movie? I like the character but don't care for a movie just about him. I already saw the cartoon episode about his past with the thieves and assassins. Would want to see him with the xmen team and macking on the super powered Rogue.

He's a fan favorite like Deadpool though not as big of a following. It's the main reason he was even an add-on in Wolverine: Origins. Hiring Tatum is a calculated move and will help at the box office, this one will likely have a PG13 rating too so it might even make more money than the R-Rated Deadpool. They'll likely just tack on a bunch of other heroes in there too.

I can't believe it's been 15 years since the first XMen movie and we haven't seen a proper Gambit and Rogue on screen together.

Fox is sleeeeepppppp

At least we're finally getting a proper Jubilee.

I'm glad they are actually wearing lighter/bright colors. Think they finally learned that every X-Men film doesn't have to be so dark costume wise.

Yeah, funny how the lawsuit wasn't mentioned ever again.

Hollywood has its hands in everything and is clearly protecting him.

Dude is facing jail time for investment fraud. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/bryan-singer-sex-assault-accuser-pleads-guilty-fraud-article-1.2202601

He acting like Gambit's "origin" story is that important to begin with. Orphan adopted by a thief becomes a thief himself joins guild of thieves. Oh and connections to Mr. Sinister. The rest is murky and still to this day unrevealed.

Sounds more like Singer never asked for Gambit to be involved in the script. If he is, at best it's a cameo or mid/post credit scene.

The way things are going with Jackman having his last movie as Wolverine, I guess FOX think they can pawn off Gambit on to the audience and milk him as sort of the new Wolverine for a while while they get their **** together.

That fold away cover from X-Men #1 got me hooked to comics. To this day, I think Jim Lee is one the best comic book artists ever.

The animated series based on Jim Lees art helped a lot too.

Wow where do I start with this new xmen movie....

Firstly a solo gambit film can work wonders...connection to mr. Sinister, marauders, new sun, omega level, assassins guild, belladonna, rogue, externals, storm, etc. gambit has a lot of rich connections throughout the MU. For his movie though, he's def gonna need some cameos of signicant players to make the movi Pop. I'm thinking a director that's a mix of Michael Mann/ del toro for his movie.

Secondly, like another poster said above...Olivia munn def has the look of psylocke down to a tee. Acting though might be a miss. I have high hopes though.

Young Kurt in that thriller jacket is a nice homage to his OG Excalibur outfit. Hope they make a nice joke about it in the movie.

I was really hoping gambit would be in this one but I'm hoping he's at least a teaser towards the end.

All in all, this next movie is THE right step after DOFP. What this hopefully alludes to or represents is the potential Age of Apolypse storyline that happens as a result of canceling the DOFP timeline.

And most hopefully my boy Nathaniel DaySpring makes that entrance and he gets his own NEEDED movie one day.
