It's crazy that Chronicle literally cost one tenth of F4

personally I'm as interested in the business and technical aspects as I am with the finished product with a lot of these films. I know it's not for everybody but these threads are open discussions so idk what to tell you

Na I agree with you, I like talking numbers.

no likes discussing box office, so irrelevant to the content of what we're really trying to discuss which is the movie's story

I get that you only want to discuss story. Doesn't mean that we have to limit discussion according to what you want. A bit egocentric, no? Lol

You don't have to participate in every conversation just like I choose to sit out conversations if I'm not interested.

I'm not going to sit here and say it was a Great film... I can't
But it's really not as bad as some of these people are making it out to be.
It was watchable, and even though the end part with doom was stupid, they set it up for him to come back.
he was basically in God Doom mode. (someone on set had to had read a comic)

Zik's review is pretty spot on
but I personally thought the Ben/reed origin was very well done.
in the short amount of time that it was it was good.
They left ben out the story a lot but it's somewhat ok.

Everyone could've had more scenes but honestly short and sweet still got majority of the point across.

Zik already explained on the things it was missing. but no other MCU movie had to try and cover 4 different people's origin in one movie, cap, thor, IM already had their origin movies.
So yea more could've been developed between Johnny , sue , and ben
but it was enough imo.

I enjoyed watching it. probably wouldn't again but there aren't many movies I watch more than once anyway.

I think people more mad a black dad adopted a little white girl.. YEA I SAID IT!!! :nerd:

I like discussing box office...

Some ppl like discussing box office. If you don't, just ignore it

This is a bigger conversation than just the film's story though, that's probably the least interesting thing going on about F4

Box office success is main factor that these studios use to judge the success of these films. It's irreverent when it becomes "Movie X made more than Movie Z so it must be better"... stuff like that is only relevant in fanboy wars. It's also pretty moot to talk about Marvel's box office returns at this point because even if they lose money on a film it's not like it's going to make them cancel Cap 3 or IW lol (same thing for DC, BvS will make ALL the money)

And It's not like people say stuff like "I thoroughly enjoyed this film but after seeing those box office numbers :x Worst movie ever!"

The lackluster story & box office failure seem to be directly intertwined in this case.

It gets excessive.

When AoU came out dudes were literally catching feelings because other movies were making slightly more money opening weekend :smh:

I don't really know about catching feels. Just discussing numbers.

Honestly, the only thing that has made me close to catching feels on this forum is anything Fox related and sports and Spidey

Or if someone says something to piss me off

its like winning a basketball game for 20 pts thru 3 quarters. Then the 4th quarter you blow the lead and lose by 10. No one will ever remember the first 3 quarters.
Exactly...there's supposed to be a emotional, climactic payoff

Which studio made the 1994 F4?
