I actually commend them for not messing up the formula that proved to be successful

I can already see the complaints now if they had decided to put everything on steroids

Nah man, low budget films succeeding like that should be rewarded.

Calling it a formula is bull **** None of that was by design. They had their budget slashed not cuz they thought it'd make the movie better

I would've been cool with whatever Tim Miller wanted. If he wanted a low budget film, that would've been cool. If he wanted to do a blockbuster film, that would've been cool too. After what he did with Deadpool, I would've let him do whatever he wanted.

Stupid Ryan Reynolds  For what Tim Miller did for him he should bend over and spread the cheeks if that was what Tim Miller wanted.

Stupid stupid stupid

*edit

BTW I peeped the Logan trailer. I must say I am mildly intrigued. Until Logan popped the claws you would've thought Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman went and did a non comic book film together.

However. Since Fox is on probation with me I am not seeing the movie until I see sufficient positive feedback.

What a bunch of ***hats man....

The show gave you like 700% return in profit, do right by it and up the budget b....can even make fun of it breaking the 4th wall about it...like have McAvoy be in the film and have Deadpool be like "I guess we can afford you this time around"

Dummies about to ruin this..

Even if it wasn't intentional they made a good movie on a decent budget so I can understand why the star and the writers would want to not mess with formula

Now y'al just going to complain for the sake of complaining no matter what happens with Deadpool 2.

"This would have been better with a bigger budget"

You keep saying it but it's not a formula

Also it's not at all like the writers are in favor of one over the other. They're the writers. If they have to scale it back they will, if they're encouraged to go big they can and still stay true to what a DP movie should be.

If they give this movie the same pauper's budget they're basically banking on catching lightning in a bottle twice. Probably gonna release the movie in Feburary again too.

A large part of that formula even working was Tim's creativity, that's what they didn't get. As a matter of fact the only reason the film was made because of his test footage, and leaking it. Small budget, large budget, let that man cook. I think he earned it. They're going to miss those intangibles.

Fox doing dumb ish again. What a surprise :rolleyes :smh:

Better go after Mathew Vaughn or Guy Ritchie

Watched a video where someone suggested Mel Gibson directing and playing Cable

But if they did have a bigger budget more cooks in the kitchen. So who knows what would be the result.

Honestly at this point with the first one being a HUGE success, there's going to be more cooks. They have expectations to meet now. Sure with it being under budget they'll hit the mark soon but there's probably a few execs thinking this should do the same numbers or better since it did so well the first time and its a sequel.

That's not always true. Those cooks would be producers/studio execs who are coughing up the money wouldn't be on set day to day. They're just the ppl just giving more notes on what they might want to change with the script or a scene. There's ways to compromise, negotiate, and negate that.

lets all be real here. Deadpool 2 is gonna make bank. Reports are coming out that Reynolds felt the movie was gonna get bloated. How many times have we seen a small movie become a huge hit and the sequel with the biggee budget just doesn't have that magic anymore.

Hell we saw what happened from Iron Man to Iron Man 2. Look at them giving Singer the keys cause he made some good movies, but then as the budgets got bigger the movies just felt flat.

You guys act like the sky is falling goodness. We haven't even heard who the next director is which still won't tell us anything.

Yea none of that is guaranteed...

And using singer ain't a good example.. ole boy from fan4tasic would be a good example

But we have no clue how his movie would have really turned out..

I mean this is the same studio who found a way to F*{*{*^{ with the finch gawd

Deadpool 2 is gonna do numbers you goofy as **** is you think that's not a guarantee

This is based on...

Fox has never had a flop, oh wait...

Fox has never had a super hero movie flop, oh wait..

Ryan Reynolds makes bank every movie, oh wait..

Ryan Reynolds in a super hero movie makes bank every movie, oh wait..

Ryan Reynolds in a super hero movie sequel makes bank, oh wait..

Ryan Reynolds as deadpool makes bank every movie, oh wait..

The studio has never screwed up a franchise with unlimited potential on a sequel before, oh wait..

Who is talking about the movie doing #s other than you? If I'm being real here **** that.

Y'all silly dudes ain't reading. Like I give a **** if FOX makes bank

I just want the movie to be good. Recent events is not a sign pointing in that direction

Deadpool was refreshing, especially coming from fox..

One of the jokes in the movie was the budget and the limitations.. there was a better movie to be made on a couple of fronts.. that doesn't mean you throw aside the things that made the movie ultimately successful and beloved

Also doesn't mean that just because you had limitations in the first film, you should strive to succeed under those same circumstances for the sequel

Success should breed confidence and you invest in that

***** wheredid you see I was talking to you. You silly *** dudes think cause you write essays in every thread someone must be talking to you.

I responded to the boy responding where he said nothing was guaranteed i.e. Everything in my post including box office, go soft about somewhere else like now cause IM responding to you.

Alien 3/david fincher.. says everything you need to know about fox

Dude this some weak thinking, every studio has done ****** over directors if you think one does that more than others that's on you

If that's the case Birdman, The Martian, The Revanant and 12 years a slave tells me everything I should know about FOX.

Nothing beyond them losing a director shows Deadpool 2 to be dead on arrival. Like Tim Miller made this masterpiece, when all he did was make a fun movie. Tell what exactly was this miracle of masterclass filmmaking this guy showed us in Deadpool?

It's sucks he left, but **** directors get replaced all the time.

That's what I'm saying. People are acting like he has a distinct style like Nolan that shaped the movies. Deadpool wasn't even that great of a movie it was just different. The script was weak and it was carried on Reynolds charisma. To act like he can't be replaced is dumb. Just like saying Joss Whedon is integral to the avengers or something.
