So I'm guessing the 4 horsemen will be magneto, storm, angel, and psylocke. Them against some newly trained xmen does at least sound dope

The studios don't care...as long as they make their money back and then some... Simple as that

Fantastic Four:
Rise of the Silver Surfer

Domestic Total Gross: $131,921,738

Spider-Man 3

Domestic Total Gross: $336,530,303

The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Domestic Total Gross: $202,853,933

Superman Returns

Domestic Total Gross: $200,081,192

Batman and Robin

Domestic Total Gross: $107,325,195

Green Lantern

Domestic Total Gross: $116,601,172

X-Men:
The Last Stand

Domestic Total Gross: $234,362,462

X-Men Origins:
Wolverine

Domestic Total Gross: $179,883,157

These movies made money but fans hated them and studios had to step their games up or even reboot the franchise.

They definitely care if people like their films because people won't see the next one if they hated the last film.

Reynolds pushing for a X-Force movie with Cable leading

Do you see Deadpool leading an X-Force team?

Reynolds: I always see Deadpool running against the grain for everything he does. He can’t possibly conform to any sort of leadership role. He always has to be the wild card. So you’d have to have someone like Cable running point on a team like X-Force. I'd love for that to be a next step that we take.

I think the Apocalypse costume should be way better but Oscar Isaac is a brilliant actor so I dont have many gripes.

That list would be better with worldwide totals. Studios dont care where the money comes from. Thats why that Guillermo Del Toro movie about mechs is getting a sequel

Is Singer on drugs? what type of excuse is that? Is he unaware of the type of gods people used to believe in?

International/foreign proves my point even more. The studios make their money back and some but the hate for the films cause reboots or completely kill the franchise.

What I've heard before is that studios only start turning a profit after making double its production budget

For example

Production budget is 220 mill.

If you make 460 mil. The profit is 20 mil.

The production budget doesn't include stuff like how much you pay the theaters and salaries and other expenses, etc

This is my understanding.

Numbers do not tell the whole story.

There are always drama behind the scenes.

There are also merchandising, MoS reportedly made all of it's money back from merchandise and product placements.

I mean Transformers gets the most hate of all the franchises but they just can't stop making it because of the billions it's bringing in and that is before merchandise and dvd/blu-ray sales.

Transformers is an exception because those movies have gotten worse with each sequel but people keep seeing them.

I was done after the 2nd Transformers but I guess other people have a higher tolerance for bad movies.

Well Iron Man got progressive bad too and IM3 made a billion and they aren't getting rid of RDJ anytime soon.

Excited for Deadpool( one of my favorite characters) but I have no faith in them executing Cable let alone an X-Force movie..
The ******* that was Bishop in DOFP, so many emotions [emoji]128557[/emoji][emoji]128545[/emoji][emoji]128553[/emoji]

Merchandising do help a ton. It's why it was perplexing that Sony gave Marvel the merchandising money for Spider-Man

Like I been saying, only real hope is that later on Apocalypse transforms in to a different/final form a la Freeza. What I'm seeing is so whack for one of my fav comic villains :smh:
Future Sentinels were the most menacing villain in any CBM

Nah.. Unless you mean them being ridiculously overpowered because they could adapt to any and every single mutant that was left

And I'm not sure how they got that ability from mystique's power or dna or whatever.. She can look like other people.. She doesn't gain their powers
From what I hear they originally were suppose to be getting that ability from Rogue's DNA.

Everything else you said was on point though. Those sentinels weren't scary or menacing. Just overpowered. They aint strike fear in any hearts.

As for why Singer and co. went with that particular visage, actor Oscar Isaac explains.

“We had to do some adjustments here and there and be like, alright, maybe this is too alien,” the actor tells EW. “He also is someone who people would want to follow and not just be terrified of. So the balance, and then making sure that there’s some great elements from the comic but also making our own thing as well. In the comic, he generally is like 12 feet, 600 pounds.”

Isaac had one more intriguing tease about the final battle of the film, in which En Sabah Nur will apparently take on a LOT of other mutants. “I mean that last battle is going to be pretty insane. I mean, it’s like freaking Apocalypse fighting all of the X-Men. It’s pretty cool.”
This is such bull **** reasoning.

Apocalypse can transform his body at will, shapeshift, and hop bodies when the time is right. Son can be the appropriate height for w/e setting you want for a scene :smh:

Talking about making Apoc someone the mutants want to follow. It's Magneto that spits that mutant superiority jargon to get his own on his side. Apocalypse only offers you the hopeless ultimatum of survival of the fittest. If you aint down mutant or not, you die.

^ doesn't bother me.. But this was from way back when.. I think the speculation was from x2 and while singer was still involved in x3.. And then it got pushed to superman

My biggest thing is how exactly it fits within the story.. Like how far he derails the story to push it
Yall talking about Iceman or Colossus? Colossus was gay in the Ultimate X-Men so that's where that stems from. Iceman on the other hand dealt with a lot of over the top time traveling and mind reading to reveal the younger version was gay and therefore the older version is.

With the way singer has handled things.. I have zero confidence in him executing simple things.. Asking him to handle something like that, whole nother story..

If someone is going to do it.. I want them to just do it.. It is what it is., doesn't have to be a big thing or the whole story has to be extra because of it.. That dude or woman is who he is.. And the world needs saving

If someone has a problem, make them look stupid like the rest of the idiots who concern themselves with what others do in the bedroom.. You got consenting adults, let them do them.. But the world needs saving so they better get over their crap quick and allow that person to go to work

'The imitation game' is a perfect example.. Great movie and that is a very important part of the movie.. But it doesn't derail the movie or really define it.. Or the movie doesn't become exclusively about that

Plays an extremely important role in the ending.. Extremely

Is Singer on drugs? what type of excuse is that? Is he unaware of the type of gods people used to believe in?

He's on the same drugs he uses on unsuspecting men on the casting couch.

And Apocalypse shouldn't be a charismatic leader. He instills fear in all and makes mutants feel how humans feel about them. The name itself tells you all need to know about him. These guys have no idea what they're doing and haven't for over a decade now.
