Apocalypse's powers better be on point.

Also there needs to be a reference to the celestials.

Can they use celestials? Celestials were in Guardians which would imply that Marvel owns that.
IF they do, probably just call em higher life forms or that he had access to superior alien tech.

Pretty sure they can't use Celestials but given they have so much of the F4 stuff, they might just say Apocalypse got his armor from Galactus.

I hate to beat a dead horse, but after re-watching the CC trailer several times, the look of Apocalypse really ruined it. Tone, dialogue, glimpse at the new mutants, everything was there.

The actual size of Apocalypse shouldn't be a big deal, but in most depictions that I remember (early 90's X-Factor, animated series) he was a brute. I try to convince myself that this could be a Bane (TDKR) scenario, but in the stills and trailers, even though Hardy is shorter than Bale, he at least looked menacing. Apocalypse just looks like an old dude in blue makeup (which I guess shouldn't matter because he is suppose to be thousands of years old).

I'm just hoping this is another Evan Peters/Quicksilver situation. Love or hate his films, Singer is a competent filmmaker w/ solid storytelling ability. He hasn't let me down w/ his previous three X-Men movies, so I'll have to trust in his track record.

there are a lot of variations of apocalypse and he can manipulate his structure. I can see it. i guess their going more for his orgins look

Not in any comic does Apocalypse look like that.

He's not even blue. He's gray skinned with blue lines around his lips and other parts of his body.

In his origins he was a muscle bound gray dude with black and blue hair.

She was trash at the beginning but quickly found her footing. AOT was great was everything was clicking

Not surprised by her success either :pimp:

I miss that show so much. One of my favorite shows of all time. Sad when she left. She definitely played up to the dorky g4 audience's fantasies. She was just an actress that wanted a stable job and stumbled on a hosting gig. Happens often. It helped that she's Asian and was open to do weird stuff and dress hot on tv. I think she said she lived in Japan so she'd talk about riding the subway in her school girl uniform and dirty old men pushing up on her.

She's a cool girl. I read most of her book a few years ago and came out of it being an even bigger fan of hers. She definitely got by on catering to nerd fantasies early on  I remember the episode(s) of his in the princess leia costume.

I just remembered that Brett Ratner story too

I remember watching that episode of AOT with Brett Ratner and Kevin's face said it all[emoji]128557[/emoji][emoji]128557[/emoji]

Ha, classic tv right there. ratner later apologized which made it even funnier.

Lou Ferrigno?

In all seriousness though they could have gone the Thanos route with the cgi but I could also somewhat appreciate doing practical effects and make-up. I still think they'll cgi the hell out of him in the end and even make him bigger and more brolic.

It depends on the tone. The tone that the Xmen movies have set up is that they aren't quite going for realistic but they aren't quite far enough removed that it wouldn't look silly.

Marvel has had hulk and like the iron sentinel thing from Thor and frost Giants etc. so the tone is set. The most outlandish thing Xmen has is Mystique or maybe beast( who doesn't even spend most time in make up)

Which is why I doubt that apocalypses powers will be like the cartoon or stuff was. I see him having telekinesis and stuff like that but I don't know about him changing sizes etc

Whose good enough of an actor with that body??

The Rock

but again they could have just cgi'd dude it's not like they're telling his story back before he had the tech suit and ****, as a few dudes have said just go the thanos route
