I think they will mention alien tech, they have a concept art for a space ship and all.

like someone said as soon as they scrap jackman (which is soon right) they can totally do everything again.

question is what story line should they do. ....

I would say Bastion no one was safe Zero tolerance was probably my fav X story line. between that and the entire Jim Lee run (off his art alone)

IMO, the X-Men cinematic universe can stand on its' own. If Fox hadn't been so inept, they would have had a great stable of films. X-Men: DoFP did a good job in trying to right the wrong of the previous filns and now they just need to focus on their current/upcoming projects:

X-Men: Apocalypse (2016, team film)
Deadpool (2016, solo)
Gambit (2016, solo)
Wolverine 3 (2017, solo, last Jackman film)

And if these films do well, it could pave the way for X-Force (team) or another team/solo project.

Without really realizing it, the X-Men cinematic universe is doing has set up something that DCEU is trying to accomplish now; establishing a team up film and spawning solo films from it.

Singer really knows how to utilize social media. I will certainly give him that
It feels like the same over promotion that they were doing with the Joker and Jared Leto. Only difference is - despite doing it since DofP came out - he hasn't been anywhere near as annoying.

Guaranteed had he revealed the look of Apocalypse he would've felt that backlash

The X-men and F4 franchises need to be separate and hopefully we can chalk all this talk up as speculation at most.

People ******** on Jackman is heresy. Imho he played the Logan/Wolverine character well. His height was off but for me that was about it. Loved him as the Wolverine. I dont know who could replace him.

That "Operation Zero Tolerance" storyline in the comics was wack as a mug. I remember collecting the issues back then wondering when that crap would end. Could it be adapted for a feature film....Yes....but there would need to be major revisions and even taking the theme and only running with that.

I would rather a Shiar saga. Like others have said, an X-Men cosmic film would be dope.

But really the best way for the x-franchise to develop is to take the focus off of the X-Men, and with an introduction of Apocalypse, start branching out and doing a Cable solo movie, then an X-force movie, then an X-factor movie and keep going down that line to flesh the X-universe out some more.

It's what Marvel did with GotG which was within the Avengers universe.

What they need to do is have a serious sit-down, gather their top writers, get the best directors they can find who have the right vision and make movies for the X-franchise that doesn't need to be rebooted every 10 years. Just introduce new mutants every once in a while and a new team and let those older actors from the starter movies go their own way while keeping what they did on the screen as canon yet moving on without them when their contract is up or something.

Basically plot out movies for up to 20 years so that the X-universe becomes something as deep and rich as what the Avengers universe is doing right now.

And the x-men squad is deep so they could do this for awhile. I hope Fox is read this and taking notes rather than trying to shut the thread down like last time
