FOX *CBM thread - RIP STAN LEE - Dark PhoeniX 06/07/19

Tws was a lot more action which a lot of movie goers want in a CBM. But cap 2 needed to tell the story which was great.

I dont see it as much differe t than IM1 except less cgi and explosions

Has anyone seen deadpool yet? I had screening passes to watch it last night in DC, but apparently people like waiting in line for two hours and the theater filled up.

The screener for a movie like this is usually out a week or two before official nationwide release date. Then there's early viewings, critics getting a early look for reviews, and screen testing.

I doubt it's out like leaked out if that's what you mean.

surprised this is only 18 minutes long....

Some nitpicking, but yeah, basically. I don't get where some people got the "1st half wasn't that bad" nonsense from. Movie was horrible all throughout.

It's a film that's amused with itself, but thanks to a screwball screenplay by Rhett Rheese and Paul Wernick and a charmingly snarky lead turn by Ryan Reynolds, that amusement is both thoroughly earned and completely contagious.

I'll just marvel at the fact that Fox finally grew the jooblies to let this film happen.

With Fox's Deadpool movie, a new superhero icon has been born, and he just tea-bagged us all.

The whiplash contrasts between snideness and sincerity are deeply rooted in the main character's psychology.

Deadpool is a blissfully unique and hilarious action-packed blockbuster that stands as one of the best big-screen superhero origin stories that we've had the pleasure of seeing.

Justice has finally been done to the "Merc with a Mouth." Is it the next Citizen Kane? No. Is it the perfect Deadpool movie? You bet.

While there have been other R-rated comic book movies and even superhero sex scenes (hello "Watchmen"!), none revel in it quite like "Deadpool" does.

Character can be annoying and comedy is very hit or miss. Not everyone finds the same things funny.

With that said, I like Deadpool but I can see why some people don't.
