Until recently I was totally oblivious to the deadpool character stealing Slade Wilson's name.

Yeah complete deathstroke ripoff/parody which is why it's so surprising that he's so popular lol.

I don't really find Deadpool funny or interesting. For the longest time I'd read his comics and not get it. Like AT ALL I was like this is a bad comic. I couldn't tell they were going for comedy. Might have been unfair cuz at the time this was when Marvel was flooding the market with DP comics in the 2000s.

Only until very recently I've found dude entertaining. So I have no hype behind the announcement of his movie. He does have his loyal fan base though.

I've heard from various sources that Fox has removed a post-credits scene from press screeners and preview screenings of the film, this other post-credits scene is meant to not only introduce Cable into the X-Men universe, but he's set to be played by none other than Jon Hamm.
