again.. not sure I said this in here or some place else..

don't get your expectations overly high as long as singer is involved..

I look at his involvement with the x-men franchise the same way I do Michael bay being involved with the transformers franchise.. it is what it is at this point.. I wait a couple weeks to see what people are saying, hoping I wont be overly frustrated IF I do end up watching the movies

I've given up on anything Michael bay is involved in.. I'm getting close to that point with singer.. still cant believe fox brought dude back to be in charge after watching superman returns and jack the giant slayer

He's a known quantity with Xmen. Fix knows what they will get with him. And what he gives you with Xmen is a pretty good box office. You can take a risk with another director and you may get a flop
so exactly like Michael bay with transformers then.. cause those movies make money.. but as far as quality goes, well that's a whole different story

They thought it would be easier to convince Mystique to change her mind if both Xavier and Magneto are there?

As his future self, maybe Magneto just wanted to set free his past self at that time period instead of being stuck inside the cell for how many ever years he was suppose to be in there?

I have no clue if the timeline is different..

we are dealing with someone who wouldn't let go of the previous movies, to do a true 'first class' movie.. and THAT was the true opportunity to just start everything fresh from scratch.. but couldn't do that

and when wolverine goes back to the future timeline, we are still dealing with certain characters at very specific ages.. unless he starts to get very convenient with the time and ages characters were used in previous films

I am not sure what you mean by not letting go of past movies to do First Class, those prequels were always part of a plan (along with Singer producing iirc), it was suppose to be 3 separate films iirc, Magneto origins, Prof X Origins and XMen FIrst Class (just the teen members and how they got started) Origins and eventually all else failed and they combined the concepts into one.

^He means do more than just remove x1-x3 and the wolverine movies from canon. Go with a different look, cinematography, just a whole new direction basically

Kinda like how just off of the trailers you can tell FF has a whole new look and feel from the previous FF movies. It's not like they kept Jessica Alba and company and just removed FF 1 and 2 from canon.

as far as X1 and X2, I was just happy that a very prominent part of my childhood was having a film made..

as a child I killed ninja mutant turtles, x-men and transformers..

even when I saw those films initially I remember being just slightly disappointed.. because I knew they could be better.. but I was just glad there was something.. I didn't think they were just flat out bad like the fantastic four movies

same thing with the 1st transformers movie.. I was happy as hell that film got made.. again, I remember being slightly disappointed and thinking it could have been better.. but I was happy to see optimus prime on the big screen

singer is Michael bay to me

well I think they only removed x3 and wolverine origins from the canon.. x1 and x2 are/were still canon

but my opinion, as I've stated many times.. they should have just started fresh with first class.. go with the original group.. or hell just keep it about magneto and professor X

but don't go with havoc and co just because your producer made the first two films and used some of the original comic 'first class' in that film

Na X1-X3 and the Wolverine movies are not canon anymore

Anything that happened after the 1970s or whatever time it was that Wolverine travelled to has completely changed

If Wolverine origins isn't canon then why is Ryan Reynolds still playing Deadpool? If it's a reboot of the character why would they use Ryan to star in the role again? And having Jackman still play Wolverine makes it hard to pretend most of the past movies didn't happen when his face was on screen 90% of the time. If The Wolverine movie isn't canon why is there a post credit scene that leads up to DOFP? Depending on who you ask people will give a different answer on what movie is canon and what movie isn't. I'm sure that's something Fox doesn't even have the answer to. A real reboot is the only way I see this whole mess being cleaned up. Having to pretend a movie didn't happen just doesn't work for me.

Yeah, don't really matter if they use the same actor, it's just the face that is the same but I guess the backstory is going to be different and it looks like they'll touch up on it in the solo film.

I don't get what's so hard to understand about this

Nothing that takes place after the 70s segment of DOFP is canon.

Origins isn't canon. But Wade Wilson as a character still exists right? So there's no issue with Ryan Reynolds portraying him.

First class is still canon.

X-Men 1-3 didn't happen.

Wolverine won't remember the previous timeline until sometime in the 2020s.

IGN gave the Rogue cut of DoFP a 9.1

http://m.ign.com/articles/2015/07/15/x-men-days-of-future-past-the-rogue-cut-blu-ray-review

they seem to be rating the movie + extras as a whole. Apparently the rogue cut doesn't add anything of significance to the story

Watched it already. It doesnt add anything of significance to the story but it does make the story flow significantly better imo.
Only difference is with the future stuff, right?

That woman in all black looking good.

Seeing the big cast pictures for some of these movies is cool.
