Magneto's words from the film before he tries to kill mystique and only mystique in that room:

Erik Lehnsherr: "Securing our future. Forgive me, Mystique. As long as you're out there, we'll never be safe."

When confronted after by mystique and she says trask is the enemy:

Erik Lehnsherr: "Killing one man isn't enough."

And considering what the U.S. spends on a yearly basis on 'defense' no president in the history of the country is watching that all go down and doing nothing

And I watched pretty much every episode of the old cartoon and read enough of the comics.. That's why this crap disappoints me so much

Hell, having read one or two books in my life it disappoints me that they want us to believe something that would affect a person's DNA would miraculously fix their spine

Also if I really wanted to reach, I would talk about magneto lifting a stadium at the end of the film.. But was trapped in a cell in the pentagon

OK now I feel like I am just being trolled now.

I already wrote way more than intended and the argument has circled because refused to understand anything. Posting the same quote over and over and over again.

I think the point RFX is trying to make is that if you kill track and Stryker there's still gonna be somebody else to carry the mantle. So might as well nip it in the bud and kill mystique since she's the root cause

At that point, the idea is trask's and only trask's.. He has done all the research to that point.. He finds out what can be done with mystique's blood

He's in whatever Asian country he is in trying to get funding for the idea..

Isn't until after the incident when he tries to kill mystique that a meeting is shown with the president

They even express that specific point at the end of the film when talking about killing those people publically

My primary problem, is the concept of these ideas were thought about (maybe even considered).. And they proceeded in the manner they did anyways

Like with the future sentinels.. They have rogue so they can take the mutants powers forever.. Singer in the 1st xmen movie has magneto use rogue so his plan doesn't kill him (and he has mystique on his team).. Then he has the scene I posted before that illustrates she doesn't actually become wolverine (get his claws and healing factor) she just looks like him

Those are his movies

I see what IATT IATT is saying.

the only information Magneto had was what logan said and that was they got mystiques blood. so he def thought the right hting to do was just off mystique.

Well considering X1-x3 AND wolverine origins are referred to or clips are shown, we can assume wolverine has knowledge for all the events of those films

And he goes PTSD when he sees Stryker

But we can assume magneto is told the the reason she is going to that meeting (to kill trask the creator of these things).. And they need mystique's blood to create the unstoppable future form

But rogue isn't born in the 70s, so using her during that time period is kinda hard.. Considering she was a teen in x1.. But then again who would know mystique in X1 would be in her 60s or 70s, I mean it was Rebecca romijn

I think in the comics (maybe Jay or masterzik can confirm) but Mystique is close to that age/older . I think she has a small healing factor (nothing too major) but I know in Wolverine orgins (or one of those story lines) she was around with him in the 60s

^ I know in the 90s cartoon she's rogue's mother (or raised her or something).. Which could maybe make certain things from the film make sense.. But then things get confusing with the previous films

But again, I don't see why they have to make certain issues bigger.. Like with professor X taking beast's formula.. Take the whole 'he doesn't want to hear the voices anymore' and run with it..

Have him dealing with being paralyzed.. And him not wanting any of it anymore.. Still extremely compelling

But why have a formula that is meant to suppress the mutant gene, miraculously heal a damaged spine

EDIT:

Why do they even need to add the subplot about mystique's blood in the film anyways.. Just have it be about her attempting to kill him being caught on TV and that causing major governments to take his program seriously and get the funding he needs and wants

The sentinels with the ability to absorb or take powers aren't built until after rogue would have existed in singer's x-men world.. So they could have just found her later on in the timeline

e

its possible since her power is to manipulate her whole structure (with a bit of healing factor) think of it as his spine some what morphing into something better along with the minor healing factor she has

No one is bending backwards to rationalize it, some just do not want to understand or has blinders on to try and discredit the film.

I mean so many flaws in the film and yall choose to focus on one of the most simple things to understand? Then audience says they do not want to be treated like they were smart when some of ya'll want the simplest things spelled out?

Anyways, hi-res pic of Storms gear.

Look, I'm not trying to be overly hard on singer and these movies..

But they mean a lot to me.. If I got home early from swim practice on Saturday mornings and I didn't have an early little league game or something, I would get to watch and that made my week

Wolverine was my favorite hero as a child and xmen was my favorite out of TNMT and transformers

I just don't want to have to turn my brain completely off in order to enjoy these movies.. Like with all of my complaints I can come up with very easy solutions that don't change really that much about key aspects of the movie and the characters involved

just finished watching The Wolverine again.

with the healing factor wouldn't the admantium just meld back on to his claws. kind of like stretch out and be manipulated back to his claws

like considering how they got it on there melting it down and it just molding to his bones.

his healing factor just means his cells reproduce at an extremely fast rate to heal his body

cells can reproduce but admantium cant

only way he could stretch out and manipulate the admantium back into his claws is with magnetos help

There has to be another way though... how did he get his admantaium back after magneto ripped it from him the first time.

Someone correct me if I am wrong but didn't Apocalypse implanted new adamantium to his bones when he made him one of his Horsemen? I think that's how he got them back after Magneto ripped it off of him.

I dont think it will. Personally.

I cant remember many if any f4 xmen cross overs in the books. Closes would be johnny storm doing some things with inhumans and maybe kitty pride
