That really doesn't mean much, Arkham Knight got an embargo on reviews until a release date but some posted them a day early I think.
Video game and movie embargoes are two different beasts. When a movie studio places an embargo it usually means the film has been reviewed poorly.

Not always true though, I believe Mad Max had a 2-day or 3-day before release embargo and that is my movie of the year so far.

I think Jurassic World had a same day embargo too, can't be 100% sure and that one, while not exactly great, is entertaining enough. It is 71% on RT and if F4 reaches that then it is a big win considering the first two are 26% and 37%.

Take Fantastic four out of the name of the title, and there is no problem.

the movie looks good too me. It having the name of fantasic four is what people have their panties in a bunch about...

Watching Days of Future past as we speak. not a terrible movie either a bit bad execution.
but nothing un watchable.

I have hope for X-men to be honest
because its a huge waste of potential. FF is one of those comic book  franchises that has everything going for it to be great. instead we've gotten ghost rider level movies.

FF always had the potential to be great especially with the greatest villian in Marvel (IMO)

but I've always said FF failed at a lot of stuff... My favorite run by them was probably a little before onslaught and Heroes reborn (which a lot of other people didn't seem to like)

Oldest running so they get that longetivty pass but other than that each and every member were better on an individual bases in other comics even Thing..

So yea even if Marvel got their hands on FF I can't see them rebooting the movie to look any better than what we're going to get next week to be completely honest.

Nothing better than what we've already gotten....

I have to disagree, Marvel would do wonders with Doom

Marvel ain't good with villains. In actually very worried about Thanos. Reed and Sue would be great in the MCU. Doom also but I don't have faith in Marvel's villain execution.

And I don't think Marvel cares about most of the villains unless they plan on using them for more than one movie (ie Loki and Thanos) everyone else they just was like whatever. Red Skull wasn't bad.

I think most of the villains have been *** because they've been building up Thanos and want him to be the most formidable, dominate villain we've ever seen. Not a good excuse but that's probably how they sell it internally. I don't have any concerns with how they're gonna portray him, I just know he's gonna die in some really stupid way though lol

Imagining Doom in IW trying to scheme thr Gaunlet away from Thanos :pimp:

Naw, the villains suck because marvel has one trick pony writing. They throw everything into one character and everything else is just there for the sake of being there. They haven't done a villain right yet and yes that includes Loki. Yellow jacket being the worst yet. He literally didn't need to be in the movie at all and it still could of worked.

At this point I have low expectations for thanos as a character. Look at ultron. He was reduced to a comic relief character and a punching bag. Not once was he an actual threat.

The real problem is you have to introduce a character, show how that character becomes a villain and then kill that same character.

There isn't room for the villain to flourish when you add in the exposition needed to set up future films & the main characters arc. I hate the fact that each series doesn't have one main villain that stretches into multiple films while having the minor baddies running around and being handled quickly

Easily the worst part of the MCU

All of that is why I said what I said.
I mean there are tons of villians so i can understan getting rid of the canon fodder in one movie. But red skull. Doom thanos. Ultron Hell even venom they need more time. Dont shoot me vut this is where the og spider trilogy did well with story/movie continuity

We got progression of freen goblin to his son

You'd be right to say marvel wouldn't do doom right, but not make an overall better movie??? FF at best might be a 4/10, with FF2 being maybe a 4/30. I think they can do better than that

I really just chalk the first 2. To the era in movies there was. Light hearted not to serious the good guy will always win and its obvious.
Like i said awhile ago. I think the most recent batman trilogy changed all that.

The og x triolgy was a bit gritter as well but that needed to be compared to FF.
Ff has never been introduced As dark. Nor originally even had that type of story. They were basically comics first family. Marvels equal to superman in those terms of the hero saves the day

This doesnt disprove what I said.
There had been 1000 batmans by that time they did something new.

As i said FF has always been kind of comics first family. How dark did you expect their first 2 films to go????

I didn't expect them to be dark, just good.

I do think F4 is a difficult film to pull off. They have to get a good mix of serious, fun and cheesiness in there with decent action.

One of the big complaints I am hearing from this new F4 is where is the cheese? I am actually surprised by that but understandable because that's how the comics has been?

What the first two did wrong they went full cheese... and you never go full cheese.

dd you ever see the original f4 ?

that one tops all of them. it can be pulled off its just these directors see money instead of substance and quality

Yeah I don't trust Marvel with Doom at all

Mark my words Thanos will be inexplicably sonned by the end of IW

It can definitely be pulled off, I think Raimis Spiderman trilogy got a good mix of it and was well done but it is also not as easy as most think. It threads a fine line.

Trank doesn't even seem like a money grubbing director but it might have been the reported coke habits?

Dude made Chronicle, which at worst is pretty good. I don't expect F4 to be terribad or even really bad
