FOX *X-Men Film Thread* - Wolverine 3 to be titled Logan - Page 33
Timeline 1: X1, X2, X3, The Wolverine, DoFP (don't even remember where Origins fits in)
Timeline 2: First Class, DoFP, AoA
I don't know if First Class ever really fit into the first timeline because the ages are so weird. Hell, when he first uses Cerebro in 1st Class he see's Storm and Cyclops, both look to be preteens. If AoA is 20 years later then they're supposed to be at least 30 something
And the next Wolverine film will presumably follow him after the ending of DoFP in the current timeline so then is that a part of Timeline 1, right? He remembers going back in time and everything that happened in the original timeline so maybe he's just a separate thing all together.
But it seems like Apocalypse will pretty much make those null anyways because Nightcrawler is being reboot ted so X2 would stop being canon.
this is the simplest explanation i can find lol
Warning: Only read this if you care about the timeline stuff lol (Click to show)
There is a version of him that exist prior having his future conscious sent back, another one that's presumably completely unaware of what happened in the new timeline from the 70s to Present and the one that's thrown into the ocean by Magneto.
You can attempt to solve this by saying The version in the river is abandoned by Wolverine's conscious after Magneto is stopped and is now back to being the pre-DoFP Wolverine. The Wolverine's conscious from the film is now in future/present Wolverine.
But now what happened to the one that's in the river? There isn't really a way to do this without basically admitting they're two universes running parallel to each other

An immortal that lived hundreds of years has nothing to do with time travel.
Not necessarily. Back to the Future rules create an alt timeline. Terminator rules make it so any changes in the past is reflected in the same future (which ironically creates a time paradox) but still more coherent than the ****ery in X-Men
You dont know this. Someone couldve invented a time machine in the future and we are in some alt timeline
And what if our alternate timeline is the product of that time machine being invented in another alternate timeline

Apocalypse looks terrible!
Mohawk Storm and Psylocke done right can't make up for the main villain looking so bad.
Fox takes 2 steps forward and 5 steps back.
It's not that hard to make a character look like he does in the comics/cartoons.
If they couldn't get the look right with make up/special fx then they should have gone the CGI route.
I hope the rights to Kang revert back to Marvel/Disney
Um hello, Captain America. Duh. Except in this alternate timeline we live in, once we thawed him out and he beat Hitler, we froze him back and told his story through comics to hide the truth.
lol. Add Namor, OG Human Torch, and of course, Logan.
Hell, Logan fought in all wars if you think about it lol.
