My biggest thing is how exactly it fits within the story.. Like how far he derails the story to push it

Exactly. People probably still don't like Quicksilver's design, but his powers, scenes and the actor still stole the show.

I expect the same from Apoc but times 100. People forget that his main power is shapeshifting.

His base form is trash, but I still expect a great performance and great scenes if his powers are portrayed properly.

You could paint Oscar Isaac's character from Ex Machina blue and he would look like a better villain than what we're seeing right now. Dude was creepy as hell in that movie.

Ive pretty much given up hope on x-men....

since fox basically owns the rights forever theres just so much they have attached to these x-men films

it would take years to shake...

the connotation attached to "x-men/fox" films is not good, and getting worse every time they put a flick up.

They putting out a tainted product.

Damage has been done, its going to be at least a good 10+ years before a proper reboot can be successful.

Word. Two sidegroup flicks, maybe a solo film or two, and then hype the return to the X-Men on film and as long as it's what the fans ask for and it's good, all will be forgiven.

Psylocke aint Psylocke without a british accent. Bothered me even in the cartoon despite her only having a couple lines.

Even if he shape shifts in the movie, doesnt change that his base form is trash.

As for why Singer and co. went with that particular visage, actor Oscar Isaac explains.

“We had to do some adjustments here and there and be like, alright, maybe this is too alien,” the actor tells EW. “He also is someone who people would want to follow and not just be terrified of. So the balance, and then making sure that there’s some great elements from the comic but also making our own thing as well. In the comic, he generally is like 12 feet, 600 pounds.”

Isaac had one more intriguing tease about the final battle of the film, in which En Sabah Nur will apparently take on a LOT of other mutants. “I mean that last battle is going to be pretty insane. I mean, it’s like freaking Apocalypse fighting all of the X-Men. It’s pretty cool.”

Change the look of the character for the casual fans

Marvel changing the way Yondu looked in GoTG made sense. WB getting rid of Superman's panties makes sense
but changing Apocalypse completely doesn't make sense at all.

Did they not learn from F4 Rise of Shtty Surfer turning Galactus into a cloud

Didn't learn from Spider-Man 3's version of "Venom" either

I very little faith without singer taking on something that could potentially be very complex
