Despite being able to kick almost anyone on earth's *** he just doesnt have the gravitas needed to be a villain. If you told me he's been in a fight outside the ring I would demand incontrovertible physical evidence or I'll just assume you're lying

cgi'ing isn't cheap or easy though...
He'll be in it a lot. I also dont think they expect this movie to do Avengers numbers..
with all the past burns we got with the other X flims (although i've never had too many complaints outside of time line)
I think this film will be ok, so not really worried with him being cgi'd i'll take this version of Apoc for now

Not really, Fox been doing practical make-up and effects (on characters) since X1 and hasn't really changed much. Only cgi I distinctly remember is Colossus, Emma Frost and Mystiques transformations & Wolverines claws. There are also action sequences with cgi but for the most part they stick to what they've been doing for the longest time.

My fault, by Fox I mostly meant XMen world.
But for the most part, even the Thing they tried doing practical to begin with and it sucked. Now they are barely trying and it's still getting backlash.
So we'll see if they go that route more moving forward.

The first pic of him with the long hair, the guy who played the master's newer host body in the season premiere of the strain looked similar. He looks like a giant too.

Honestly the size isn't even a factor. Movie magic can fix all that. The design of him is just horrible. He does t look menacing, he looks like a wizard. Dude is supposed to be a living God not a hogwarts graduate

Yeah. Black Adam and to me he's all the way a villain. Not a misunderstood bad guy.
The Rock was menacing as the Scorpion King or whoever he played in that bad Mummy movie. Besides that he's the Rock, any time the WWF/WWE needed him to turn heel he did it well.
IRL ppl do not think the Rock is some push over. The idea of him not throwing the hands cuz he's a "teddy bear" is naive.
