THE AMERICANS Thread | Final Season: March 28, 2018

 @ Nina getting that talking to and then playing her cellmate like this.

Stan telling the truth. I don't know if his story line is about him becoming a better person through his faults and then a better agent or if he's just lost in life faking the funk trying to fight this Cold War all wild at times (as seen when he tore up that bathroom) and then Phil and Liz being spies will just fall on his lap (in some ways Hank from BB but taken more serious and really in the middle of the ****). I legit some times think he makes even dumber moves and dislike him for it then other times feel even sorrier for him.

I think even Phil knows turning this little girl in to an asset cuz of her father is creepy as ****. Rhys is just such a good actor that way. You can see on his face at times manipulating and somewhat seducing this girl makes him feel the creepiest like he's doing it to his daughter.

Liz was a bit *****y about the whole making their daughter a homegrown Russian spy. Talking about with or without him :smh: Phil will find a way if he has to.

 @ Martha pushing for an adoption. I can't wait until that cover blows up.

Philip about to get his pedo on for the cause.

His own version of Lolita. I thought she was going to be a little older looking but damn she looks young. Funny how she had to mention a few times that she was cold before he did something about it. If he was an nt'er and she was under his coat I can imagine him asking her "What that mouf do?". You think he'll actually end up in those underage yambs or he can just lead her on and sweet talk her into doing stuff?

I'm still laughing at henry having a pic of stan's wife. She does look good though.

I liked Nina's cellmate caressing her lovingly after her nightmare.

I don't think Phil will go all the way with ole girl.

Elizabeth and Martha are enough headaches for him as is.

One thing I'm trying to wrap my head around from last night is why Elizabeth checked in with her sponsor?

Seemed so random to me.

It was kinda great how being around Kimberly already helped Phil in knowing what hip album to buy paige. Having a 16 year girlfriend will be better than he thought.

Keri looking hurt as hell after Paige said she wanted to clean herself for Jesus

I don't think Phil will go all the way with ole girl.

she works for some company that the russians probably want in on or something

If I remember right the sponsor sort of like Martha works for the gov't but not as deep (or some place of interest, I forget) and she manages to get info from her sometimes.

She hasn't seen her recently so she went to her place with a fake lie about sobriety to see what's up. That's where we find out the sponsor's husband has been drinking and probably beating her. I suspect Liz might do a freebie and kill dude.

Looking at that scene and a few others this past ep made me realize even more how many fake identities they have to juggle. It was always in front of us in an amazing way with Phil's and Liz's disguises but now it's hitting on a deeper level. Most spies even undercover spies in tv and movies are portrayed as cool and mysterious but really they're like the best con artists and the greatest actors on the planet rolled in to one. They're good enough to make you believe they're someone else (acting) and if they have to they're persuasive enough to make you commit a crime or help them do something you know is wrong (con artist).

Elizabeth always overreacting. Her getting baptised isn't the end of the world. Better than that cia guy's daughter who wants to get banged by older men.

Nah, Liz just really despises religion and how America has glorified and commercialized it.

This whole ep made me feel uncomfortable as **** Just creepy throughout.

Macking on a 15 yr old? Making out with her?

In the end, Phil flashbacking on his training for this just capped it all off. So ****** up. Like I don't even want to imagine what he had to do or let happen to him when that fat dude walked in the room.

Crazy cuz 1st season they made it appear like he was weak or not built for that Cold War spy long haul or that he was a traitor and acclimated to being American but truth is what he had to go through for the motherland and now what they want him to do with this kid and what they plan on doing to his daughter simply isn't worth it.

bruh. Phil been thru some shh. :smh: :x

Seeing those flashbacks of his yambs and old man training has me wondering if we'll see him go undercover as a gay guy in the future.

Elizabeth's sex / seduction training probably involved a bunch of fat, old dudes too.

It was awesome when henry asked stan how his wife was doing. Paige had a funny look on her face.

that praying scene with phil was weird as hell

anyone else think henry might end up being the spy instead of paige?

Yeah, it would've been less weird if he just clapped her cheeks. The religion angle he's doing with her is definitely a unique approach. Maybe convince her they should wait until she's old enough and possible marriage.

henry might be too dumb to be a spy, or maybe that would be good and he just does what he's told with no doubts.

The praying had to be weird and awkward. Son was looking for anyway not to smash a child. He saw how it affects Paige so he thought maybe it could work on this teenager too.

Still thoroughly disgusted it got back around to these uncomfortable sexual scenes.

 @ Nina betraying her prison mate in that scene. She wouldn't look at her for ****. Them Russians wanted her to know she was betrayed
