Marshawn Lynch Progressive Commercial vol: lulz ensue

:pimp: :pimp:

excellent post, bruh...

but...

"my kids look up to him as a role model!! what should i tell them???"

It's called being a parent, punk. and parenting is sometimes difficult when you have to tell them the truth about their heroes

exactly.

a lot of lazy parents out there want athletes and celebrities to do their jobs as parents.

not their job to do be something they really aren't.

and you see it in athlete's decision making now, they feel a very real pressure to cater to the kids.

Take LeBron for example, who I have been highly critical of.

I've always said I'd respect him more if he was just true to himself and stopped worrying about what everyone thought of him.

He should've never had to make a spectacle of his decision to go to Miami. He never should of had to do it at the Boys & Girls club, he should've never had to be that conflicted.

It should be as simple as "I'm going to Miami and damn what anyone else thinks of it, this is the best decision for myself, my career & my family".

But because now we've got a culture of absentee parents who allow TV & music to raise their kids for them, an athletes brand can take a significant hit if they're not careful with how they come off to the younger generation.

It's pathetic and it's really sad that owners & leagues throw these players to the wolves like that. They dehumanize these athletes and turn them into some sort of super heroes.

When really these guys just want to **** *******, be young & be allowed to make mistakes (like the rest of us) without being put under the microscope.

Why in the world is the media wasting their time with this guy? Yes we get it, he hates the media, he's not educated, a street dude from Oakland with a huge heart for inner city kids, this and that HOWEVER his actions with the media this week is just an embarrassment. How hard is it to answer simple questions... acting like he's mentally ill or is it an act? I certainly hope his vocabulary and writing has improved since his blog from 2009.

Theres a difference between CHOOSING to not answer questions and not being able to answer the question.

I see where the "outrage" comes from now....

He shouldn't have to answer questions period if he is going to act this way so I don't understand why the NFL is FORCING him to talk. He clearly isn't a very good orator so players like him shouldn't be put on that podium to embarrass themselves and the NFL product.

Thats his point, DOOBIE!

He shouldn't have to answer the question if he doesnt want to. If they're gonna force him, he'll give dumbass answers

Marshawn & Sherm are the two most strategic salesman i've ever met.. You think its all a show until they lay out that financial plan for you

I also love when these types expose themselves...might as well go and say what you really want to call him
Looking forward to the Marshawn-to-English translation from this morning's press conference.

Wait so let me get this straight

So people out there are mad that he has nothing to say?

This what we doing with our lives now, commenting on another mans non-commenting?

That commercial is great.

If anyone hasn't seen this I would check it out.  It's an E:60 interview with Lynch from a few years back.

Dude has no filter and keep its 100, so I could look past that whole not talking to the media foolishness.

i remember this, he's a good man, the only reason he did this interview, if i recall, is because he specifically wanted them to focus on his charity organization

reppd

edit- this isnt the one

Kids wanna hear beast mode talk, hes a role model that kids can seek advice from anytime they want

The advice I got is dont talk to the media.  Ive seen them do more harm to players' careers than not

not educated...

Went to cal-berkely

Lolwut.

I love how people just to someone's intelligence because they have a deep accent.

Inb4 all athletes get a pass

Inb4 college doesn't make you educated, even though nothing he could do would make you say he's educated aside from performing brain surgery

I'm not saying he's not educated, but let's be real here, a lot of athletes aren't going to college to play school

I'll concede that the current state of student-athlete affairs for many Division I schools is not one that fosters intellectual growth.

A lot of athletes have come right out and said that they never went to class, they never learned a thing and they basically trained, played and partied their entire college career.

Berkeley is an excellent university, but they're no exception.

In fact they have one of the nation's worst graduation success rates coupled with an absolutely mediocre academic progress rate.

But that doesn't make SUnDoobie's stance the least bit salient, his educational background is absolutely immaterial when it comes to this matter.

I think he has just turned into my favorite running back ever, only behind bo jackson. I didn't know this much about him but I knew the situation. I just feel that if he doesn't want to talk let what he does on the field do the talking. I'm note king to dip into the racial discussion, but just let him be himself. The nlis is forever trying to t troll the players. It's stupid IMO.
