New York City commuters will pay 4% more to ride MTA subways, buses, trains

The hikes, approved Thursday, go into effect in March. Rider advocates didn't argue against the higher prices, which include raising base fare prices to $2.75 from $2.50.

I've always been a believer in public transportation in NYC but this is the last straw.

I'm not even seeing any significant changes on the system due to past hikes, so what can possibly change now?

Glad I won't have to deal with this **** in a few months once I get a car.

These dudes pockets getting too fat.
